I have about three close friends. I can't have many more than that, you know, with having to keep my enemies closer and all that.

Because I have been in similar situations and did nothing I give this gift to all the young readers out there:
Rule Number One for anyone suggesting anything is "Recommend Beginner Titles." I spent many years in comic book stores and I can't tell you how many times someone comes in and asks for a suggestion and someone hands them Watchmen, Kingdom Come or Dark Knight Returns. Those books are useless without context (except…
I wonder was it always this way. I remember listen to Howard Stern interview a shop owner in the anniversary of 9/11 and how it affected his hardware business. He and his co-owner brother hadn't taken a salary in the past year so they could keep all their employees even-though sales dropped because the store was…
The easiest way is to go to xbox.com on the 1st and 16th of the month and it's right there on their home page. I click 'Buy' and I don't have to download until I want to.
No. You're totally right. In fact, I talked a friend of mine out of buying games at release because he had a backlog and would still get the new hot thing and play it until next hot thing came along. None of these games got finished. I told him play through a game and when you're done, go get the next one you…
If they pay you well, who cares? Most people would punch Sally Field in the face to have a job they've mastered. That means nobody comes in your office and you think, "How the hell am I going to do that?" You got this covered. Your worse enemy is boredom.
Those are good points. I've never had to collaborate when I was finished (because I'm, you know, finished) but I see where you're coming from. I'm generally given a project, I make it, approve it for edits, lock it down and I'm done. Often I'm not even in the room when it's being presented.
That's smart and hilarious at the same time. Much like Tina Fey.
Ask for Gary. They know me there.
The earlier poster was right when even I'm not a genius but I'm also not surrounded by geniuses. I don't need to be the best guy at Excel... I just need to be the best guy in this room.
As they should... as they should.
You're always going to have people that won't make up their minds because they don't understand the work you put into it and don't really know what they want.
We're using PowerPoint 2010 at the office but it should be the same regardless of the version. When you save it defaults to a PowerPoint Presentation which is a pptx file. Instead, save as PowerPoint Show which is a ppsx file. It will create one handy uneditable file you can distribute which is much cleaner than…
I've heard of people that plug that RaspPi into the USB port of the TV. It powers on and off when the TV does. I tried this with my RaspPi2 and thought it seemed sluggish like it wasn't getting enough power. I found a dedicated micro USB plug with 2a and it works great. Got rid of the Dell Zino HD I had been using…
Go online to the website and apply the card to your account. Places like Amazon will apply the credit and it'll be there when you want it.
My boss was selling my skills to a co-worker and she asked me how proficient I was at Excel and I told her on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm probably a 6. Her jaw dropped because she'd been selling me as a 10 and I explained there wasn't anything she or anyone else in the company was going to ask me to do that I couldn't and…
FIGURES! They're action figures! Figurines don't have guns or superpowers.
That is a dishonest baiting headline. Have you paid any attention the things that have been said over the last six years? The most vile, racist, insane shit ever.
See, I know women do this but not my wife. She refuses to talk about me in front of her friends because she believes that's how you lose husbands. The ring alone is a blinking sing that says "This One Worth Keeping." Add in the flowers, gifts, dinners and general thoughtfulness not centered around a holiday or…
