I was using hyperbolic examples but the point is the average woman isn’t “traumatized” or “limited”, to use your words, by using make-up or not.

Coming for UK i am just shocked that Boots used her. Most of the time they use white models or they will find a token light skin mix raced person. Of course the comment section can not see anything positive in this, but to black girls in UK this means a lot.

Hmm, unfortunately I have no idea. I have a high-priced Japanese cooker that I’m pretty sure is smarter than me and seems to be able to know exactly what to do no matter how hard I try to screw it up.

I don’t get it. Whenever I even try to introduce broth (instead of water) into my rice cooker, the rice doesn’t cook properly. I stays a bit too al dente.

Years ago, when my mother, who is allergic to anything that is related to onions (except garlic) and I went to Cancun, I made allergy cards for her. One side had English, the other had Spanish. I was lucky enough to have a friend who was fluent in Spanish who could help me translate. It roughly said that she was

It would be nice, certainly. But I think throwing out the whole system (“what if we just stopped wearing makeup?”) isn’t the answer.

“whatever the P.C. way to describe what used to be called ‘mentally retarded.’ ” Since they didn’t want to “stoop all the way to girls,”

In other words:
Play the goddamn game, retard! What are you? A fucking homo?

Yeah. Fuck this guy.

He needs a smack with a newspaper across the back of his head.

My wife has potentially-fatal food allergies, and we brought a stack of such DIY cards on our 6-month RTW trip. We didn’t flash them at every meal but rather used them as a last resort just a handful of times where we really weren’t sure what we were ordering and clearly weren’t communicating well. And I don’t think

This guy is a fucking asshole.

Right. Women can’t win. If we perform care-giving labor then we are accused of corrupting, and contaminating the people we care for. Because our charges will become “feminized” (what could be worse.) But if we are ever perceived as not actively, and obsessively performing that labor we are literally criminalized: http:

What if we all just stopped wearing make up?

I hover because I don’t want some judgmental asshole deciding I’m “neglectful” and calling the cops. It’d be a waste of resources on an already taxed system, bro.

It seems like people object to using feminism to sell the makeup, from what I understand. Also that she cares about making money?

Then how am I supposed to drop 2 gears and watch that tailgater’s face go panic?

Seriously. I like make up. Maybe you don’t. Now let’s get back to destroying the patriarchy.

I see no problem with this woman loving money. Why should she be any different from any other person? Must one be poor to be...whatever it is you think she must be?

There are also Apps for your Smartphone to do this on the fly:

That’s nice, I guess. Frankly women have more pressing issues to handle than rehashing the ‘makeup-no makeup’ debate for yet another decade. I want equal pay. Imagine if we spent as much time each day fighting for that as we did putting on makeup or lecturing each other to take it off.

Voice of reason here. Cosmetics companies are gonna market their products anyway, so I would rather see someone like her in the adverts, maybe inspiring someone to read some lf her marvellous novels along the way.
