Her update bit also had a new twist this time with her touring the studio, so I don’t get the idea that it was a generic rehash of an already told joke.

Selena did great given her health. She has Lupus which can be quite draining. Stress and the medications to treat her condition can cause a lot of fatigue.

I don’t get the hate for Sarah Sherman’s Update bit. She’s been hilarious every time she’s on, and she brings the chaotic energy the rest of the show is lacking.  This might have been my favorite bit she’s done so far.  She needs to be moved up to the main cast asap.

The cold open felt like they made it up about fifteen minutes before the episode started because they didn’t have anything else to go with

She showed some real talent when she accidentally threw the picture, couldn’t find it, and rolled with it somehow crafting it into the sketch as part of the joke. That’s hard to do real time to make an obvious screw up still funny. It reminded a little bit of some Conan O’Brien bits where something didn’t go as…

If Che does indeed leave after this season, Sarah would be the obvious choice to replace him on Update. She and Colin have good chemistry and I think her loud, brazen energy would bring something fresh to the segment.

It was difficult to see, but there were bubbles emanating from Kate’s butt at the end of Three Sisters. Knowing this, the sketch will suddenly become incredibly funny to you.

I love it too, but I think there’s just not enough there for a full movie. It really  needs to be a single episode in a Stephen King anthology series. 

I still think about Billy Summers a year after I finished it. Enjoy!

I wonder if King is asking too much for the Long Walk rights, because that seems like excellent horror movie fodder. You could probably make it with mostly unknowns for $10 million.

I love the idea of them running concurrently!  It’d probably be long time in production, tho, with the same actors for both.  Still a great idea.

I’m about 2/3 of the way through his latest, Billy Summers, and there’s no way someone doesn’t adapt that. This Newby (appropriate name) guy would be happy, since it dusts off King’s love of featuring writers.

Speaking of Stranger Things, I felt like King wrote The Institute almost as a response to a show that cribs almost entirely from his work (right down to the font).
