I went from “Oh, pete’s sake, he was a kid who made mistakes”* to “Holy shit, this is how serial killers get started!” in a second. This is not an example of “cancel culture” run amok. This guy proudly told the media this horrible behavior when he was in his 20s. He shouldn’t have gotten the gig in the first place.

I also thought the book was a decent, fun read. I definitely got an Elmore Leonard vibe in the style of writing. Also, I don’t know about you but I could hear the narrator in Kurt Russel’s voice, especially when going into the stunt man stories like ‘tagging’.

I’m assuming they intended all these questions in S1 to be answered in subsequent movies, but didn’t originally grasp the rich storytelling possibilities that would open up by a character making out with an alternate version of himself.

Another stupid thing about this is that the main actress isn’t even trying to do a French-Canadian accent (she’s French), whereas most of the other actors in the film appear to be native Quebecois.

Infinite realities means there’s a nice, PG version too. It’s all canon.

Yeah I thought he was so good. An ego maniac probably didn’t achieve his hopes and dreams and instead had to settle on micromanaging one timeline. Now he hasn’t talked to anybody in a million years and is ready to be done with this shit. Sold me on the cockiness, the craziness, and just empathetic enough.

While the post-credits scene was interesting, particularly in seeing JLD’s character pop up again, I don’t think I’ve had any interest in Hawkeye since probably the original Avengers movie... but particularly after he broke bad and started murdering gang members around the world while dressing like a ninja.

Hey Sam, i hope you get to recap Season 2. It makes for better recaps when the person doing it actually has fun with the material instead of complaining about all the ways it didn’t go where they wanted it to.

The end of this series means *everything* is on the table, which means we are now finally in a fully-comic book world. Something the DC-CW shows figured out (especially Legends) years ago. I love it.
