If anyone else is interested in Control, guess what the Free Epic Games Store offering is this week?!
That’s one of those scenes where some people (myself included are going to love it) and others are going to bemoan that it takes away from the epic scope of the Infinite Saga.
Learn2Fly is referring the comics — Ronan is the first Kree that appeared there, and he like some others got retconned from pink to blue skin later on. The idea of differing Kree skin colours has been carried over to the movies from the beginning.
My guess is that it’s less 70's and more late 50s/early 60s, especially considering Wilson’s look and the modern look of most of the buildings in the greater TVA. That look felt straight out of Forbidden Planet, or even the Jetsons.
I think they’re leaning HEAVILY on Asimov’s End of Eternity for this. And I am here for…
This episode does have a title. It’s “Glorious Purpose.”
Hiddleston’s reaction to that drawer was pretty top-notch.
So Loki’s genderfluidity is measured in pints instead of litres.
Fluid is obviously because of Lady Loki. But all I could see on that form was that TVA is using mostly Imperial measurements. What a disgrace. Burn the whole place down.
I’ve been playing Control as of late, and Loki has so much of the same vibe to its world. Excited to get into this series!
Lately it’s all about small scale stuff, like focusing on my kids, and their little breakthroughs or moments where they show what awesome people they’re going to be. For example:
Actually, his first appearance was in a one-page comic called High Noon Tex so that Marvel would own the character and not Hasbro.
Also, I believe Death’s Head I originally debuted in the Marvel UK Transformers comics, yes?
He was drinking Josta! With Guarana!
Wait what now?! Of all of your many and variegated pulls from the past, this one blew my mind: there was a 7th Doctor / Fantastic Four crossover?
Your credentials are that you’re Caroline Fucking Siede, and can review whatever you want.
Second time = “another”. It takes at least three to justify the “yet”.
That was a very exposition-heavy episode. I don’t know that we needed that many clips of old MCU films, though I guess not everyone remembers Thor: The Dark World. It could have been more concise though.
Yep a great solid start. Loved the random drawer filled with Infinity Stones - makes total sense for the TVA and was a great way to hit Loki with ‘wait, yeah, maybe these people are as big a deal as they say’.
I love how the article tries to insinuate that it was terrible that she took a week to respond to this manufactured controversy. Y’all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
