Yeah, it seems like the new stuff is definitely bigger (like stage show wise) and shows a bunch of cool influences (I almost got a bit of Zappa and Nina Hagen off one of the songs), but I did like her previous album better.

Yeah, I don’t usually even notice it but it was super obvious on that episode.

“Now as far from 1976 as 1976 was from 1933"

He wasn’t a very good host either — quite brusque when contestants had a wrong answer, plus the charity he has Jeopardy! donating to is his own charity — I assume he gets a cut. He did have possibly the nicest suit since Alex.

There was a garden gnome prominently featured on last week’s episode of his current sitcom...they did kind of look alike now that you mention it.

The comment about marrying him now that he murdered her dad *was* super out of character for Ian and would have even been dumb coming from Mickey. I’d almost be worried it was foreshadowing that Ian might be having some mental health issues recurring but that seems too subtle for Shameless.

The characters/actors are good but the stories are mostly standard sitcom stuff (most of the kidney disease stuff is way off though), too bad if these stories are true (and they probably are...)

That part was great and I also laughed at his line about how a friend is just another person he’s gotta shoot before they turn state’s evidence.

I read it, this is probably the closest to correct guess. Fun book, but I’m still looking for something more like Joyland -- my kid loved that one and hasn’t really taken a shine to any of his other books.

Or at least Star, especially in Canada.

He just got an early start I guess.

Dude that sucks about the kitten, we lost one suddenly a couple of years ago and it still kind of hurts a bit. (I mean, he was like 5 years old but still.)

I feel like maybe we don’t need to hear it for the boy anymore. (But yes to all the rest of them.)

Yeah, they quite likely made a lot more money off of that than most of their albums put together.

Is anyone else suspicious that this AV Club article is written by Randall? (I didn’t check his last name but I assume it’s the guy from Clerks.)

RIP Apted.

And no one is one of the Ramones anymore. :(

You didn’t what her?

Best Movie Ever. A repo man’s life is always intense.

I *just* started Hollow Knight last week myself. (because a friend who reads audio fiction for podcasts read a story for one that someone else wrote and it was about a couple of videogame characters, one of whom was the Hollow Knight (but not *that* Hollow Knight, at least from how the story goes...))
