Yes, it was definitely very distinct and the flavour was a bit different -- I absolutely thought it could be a standalone. I still liked the rest of the book, but it was like an 8.5/10 and the first part was a 10+/10.

Can confirm the thing about no one ever playing the Name Game song with people named Chuk.

Hey, quiet, do you want them to shut this down too?

I only read two of these, The Only Good Indian which was just great, right up there with Stephen King if you like horror, but with some psychological twists to it (especially the first long section), plus not all the characters are white guys from Maine. I also read A Deadly Education which was pretty fun, kind of

I usually like him but we gave this about five minutes. He tried.

Yeah, I had no idea he did Electric Company which absolutely was a formative part of my life as a child.

I’m one of those viewers who gets a bit bored by the musical type sketches. Cute idea, funny characters, but it dragged on too long for me.

There used to be a Vancouver-based punk band called the McRackins, one of them was named Fil.

I saw a clip on Twitter of a Quibi show that was about a woman who was obsessed with her golden prosthetic arm, then she died of gold poisoning. All the suggested ideas sound way better than that.

I hope they fix the part about the mouth guard and how it ‘takes’ kind of nasty.

No but don’t spoil it, it’s in my to-be-read pile.

Typo for “baldness”.

They should turn Imajica into a series.

Thanks, I’ve been worrying about that for 2 years but I think you’re probably right.

I loved the Cheerleaders -- super embarrassing cringe comedy but they totally sold the parts.

You called it.
