The school doesn’t have a girl’s golf team. Should this girl just not play golf? We’re not talking about a full contact sport like wrestling or football. It’s golf. She should be allowed to play golf on a school team.

It might not be feasible for her to go and golf on her own in the spring. If you play all during the fall, you should compete for a trophy in the fall, not 6 months later.

I agree that it’s a dumb rule. My guess is that they wrote the rule to ensure that any given person was only eligible to compete in one of the tournaments (boys or girls) and not both. Sounds alright in theory, but only if every school actually has enough participants for both a boys team and girls team.

It’s the first Indycar race at Gateway since 2003, and I believe the entire track was repaved only a few weeks ago. It sounds like they were having problems on cold tires, and Kanaan was on the gas to catch up to the front of the field before the start.

I’m not a fan of the chase at all, but at least it didn’t drastically affect the integrity of each individual race like stage racing does. The chase screws up the championship, but stage racing just makes each race terrible to watch.

I’m happy to see the change, but calling the overtime line the worst rule? Stage racing would like to have a word with you.

I think it would be interesting to add more of a challenge for the moonlighting drivers. Make them start at the rear, or even better, start them a lap or two down.

I agree. You’d think they would have found a better home for this race instead of broadcasting it on the Fox Business Network. When the race ended and Lou Dobbs appeared on my screen it was pretty terrifying.

A few summers ago I had to drive 500 miles in my black Honda Civic during a heat wave. Gas stations with walk-in beer coolers became my best friend. Just standing in there for 5 minutes was a lifesaver.
