It definitely doesn’t close as easily below 50F. If I have the time, I’ll close the roof but not latch it for a little while. I recently moved into a house with a garage, so it’s been nice to be able to park it for the night without latching the top.
94 Miata owner here. The owner’s manual says not to operate the soft top at or below 40F. If it’s 41F(and dry), the top is going down.
