Shell eater here. I only eat the peanuts in the shell once in a while, and usually just to gross out and confuse my friends. If you’re really craving salt and you need some more fiber in your diet, it’s not such a bad idea.

My immediate reaction was “That was awesome. Why didn’t they save that for the playoffs?”
Thanks for your reply. As someone who grew up in PA but moved away, I’m not surrounded by PSU fans any more so it’s hard for me to gauge how a lot of them feel. Obviously there are vocal people on both sides.
Thanks for your reply. I guess I’m wondering is it actually the team that actively honors him, or just the administration and a majority of the fans? I would argue that the current coaches and student-athletes probably didn’t have much to do with the decision to acknowledge Paterno today.
Honest question: if I admit that Joe Paterno was not a good person and that he should have stopped Sandusky decades ago, am I allowed to move on and root for the current team with its new coaches and students? Maybe the NCAA should have instituted the death penalty, but they didn’t. Does that mean that I can’t ever…
What does Mick Foley have to do with any of this?
I think it was a nice sign of solidarity for all of the spectators to stay at home.
Miata driver here. I’m a firm believer in the concept of “drive whatever makes you happy."
I picked up a copy of The Postmortal before I knew who you were. It was pretty good! Reading that book actually brought me to Deadspin, which I’m guessing is the reverse of what usually happens.
Any chance you’re willing to share the name of the maker? I’m looking for this same thing right now.
You are my hero. I couldn’t agree with you more. Thank you for being brave enough to say the words that I can't.
It looks like the start of the race was bumped to FS2 due to continuing coverage of the US Open on FS1
Thank you for providing my Saturday night rain delay entertainment. This was great.
This is why, at 5'6" I love my 1994 Miata. It might be an unsafe metal death trap but it fits me, damnit.
You leave Jamie Moyer out of this! He could get Trout to swing and miss on a changeup, because it would only be going about 35 MPH and Mike Trout doesn’t have that kind of patience. Then he’d turn up the heat with a 41 MPH fastball.
If I lived in a house with a garage I’d strongly consider it, but as it stands my car spends the evenings in a parking lot with no nearby electricity. A plug in hybrid does appeal to me much more than an all electric car.
About once a month, I’ve got to make a trip that is 450 miles each way. I’m not going to buy a second car just for that trip, and I’m not going to rent a car once a month.
John’s Roast Pork. Great cheesesteaks, great sandwiches.
I look forward to the corresponding drop in price on the 2016 model now that nobody would touch it with a ten foot pole.
I used to own that soundtrack on cassette tape. I wish I could find it again.
