I might as well quit my job and become homeless if they ever make portable PSO because I will never accomplish anything ever again.

See, I sort of feel the opposite. PS is a bit clunky and grindy, but NES FF1 is basically broken (and I LOVE that game). Between the lack of next target priority AI, and so much of the special equipment being nonfunctional/broken, and the “miss everything til level 10-15" making early battles take forever, I’d much

It was. Only difference in the GBA version is a VERY minor fix to the translation (which is oddly not made in this new version).

They really wiffed on the soundtrack too IMO. Most of the original (especially FM) versions are better. But yeah, it’s a fun remake.

I know it sounds crazy but sell your shoes. Rudo’s boots are worth like 500 bucks and make a fairly minimal difference in his stats, and Rolf’s are worth like 200ish. That quick cash infusion helps a boatload since you can buy a shotgun ASAP which’ll let you mow down most of the early game baddies, and you can

yeah, 4 is a cakewalk compared to the first 2. The only place in the game you’re every really in danger is that weird random power spike right after you get Gryz, so you need to grind for the ceramic gear. Rest of the game is MUCH more balanced and the dungeons are far less complex, though I honestly felt they were a

I documented my (long-winded) love of the original game in this thread already but when I discovered they were making a sequel I went nuts.

I beat the game when I was 7.

I had no idea I wanted that until you suggested it, but I would absolutely buy that if they did.

Out of all the games I’ve ever wanted to see a remake of, PSII is it (yeah, I know about the PS2 Ages version, doesn’t count :P). That game is a sci-fi Game of Thrones when it comes to ripping your heart out. They did a great job with what they had available, but my lord that game with modern tech would be amazing.

At least a mantle is a thing. Almost 30 years later and I still have no idea what the -nish” armors from PS2 are supposed to be. :D

Phantasy Star is easily my favorite game of all time (word soup ahead, sorry), the first game I got as a kid that truely WOWed me. I was absolutely enthralled with it and it’s way ahead of it’s time graphics (“holy crap, this thing opens with a comic book!” and those monsters are just incredible looking compared to

If the Jets weren’t the Jets, i’d be excited for their future. 2 of the other 3 teams in their division are almost as much, if not equal or more, dumpster fires as them, and the rampaging behemoth that’s been the Pats is definitely running out of steam. They have a young, fairly promising QB and like a gazillion

Gatorade and 2 asprin before bed was my go-to (those days are pretty much behind me now)

The ratio of PB to chocolate is better in those too.

Breaking Bad. I caught the first season when it came out and the writer’s strike killed so many things I liked, and when when it shortned BB’s first I went “welp, this is gonna get canceled, it’s way too interesting an idea to survive this” since season 1 is so much setup/slow burn. Life got super hectic and by the

I think everyone knew this was coming when they took Activision’s money. I’m just surprised it took as long as it did, though you can see the rust/rot forming in the past few years.

I’m not shocked this is terrible but I am disappointed. I love weird, potentially cult classic types of movies and this certainly ticked off the potential for that box. Sounds like it’s more squick than I expected with the way the women are treated though. :\

60s? Probably the Monkeys or the Beach Boys would fill that role
