The Ghost is the reason I never played past the first floor in the original Spelunky.  I like fully exploring every level, and being unable to do that killed the game for me.  I’d have given this a shot if it had a Ghostless mode, I’m not aware of such a thing existing though.  They could even halve the score of all Read more

As someone with a powerful gaming PC and every modern console, a console crash -always- feels worse because the console isn’t supposed to have the random elements of a PC that generally cause crashes (generally ‘random’ means the sheer volume of hardware configurations).  One of the appeals of a console is that every Read more

The proper solution is to enable hardware-level button remapping on every console.  Let the player decide what works best for them.

I always enjoyed Sunshine. That said, while I haven’t had a chance to play it on the collection yet, I’m quite skeptical that controlling the pressure without analog triggers will be at all successful.

I didn’t even bother to watch for one as I assumed this would happen, and I’ll be fine getting one a couple of months from now. Read more

Actually, considering the fact that profit margins on consoles are so low as to sometimes be negative, MS likely makes more money off of the copy of Windows you need for a gaming PC than they do an Xbox.

When it comes to Bethesda games, PC is always better, if for no other reason than the fact that you have modders to offset their terrible QA department.  We’ll have to see if that changes under Microsoft.

I’m not a fan of either company, but Apple isn’t wrong here, it’s definitely a publicity stunt.

I think the problem with XIII was that it wasn’t really colorful until you hit planet-side, and quite a few people seemed to give up on it before that happened. Read more

This is flat out untrue. Comcast certainly sucks in general, but they don’t have data caps cross the board. My location in Michigan has no data caps. That isn’t to say other parts of even the same state don’t necessarily have to deal with caps, but it’s not a country-wide policy.

In all fairness, if this weren’t even a thing, would you actually be upset that you aren’t working at Gamestop anymore?

I have every modern console, though I generally put more time into my PS4 over my XB1X due to my love of JRPGS. That said, I really don’t see this as confusing. Plus, if someone is actually standing in a retail store (I assume this is still something other people do as it is referenced in this article), wouldn’t they Read more

My mistake, I was indeed thinking about Popeye’s. That was the most ridiculous I’ve seen a fast food restaurant get since McDonald’s had Beanie Babies in the late 90s.

Considering first-party Nintendo titles go on sale for about 3 minutes every other year*, I’m not really seeing how this even really makes them more money. Read more

I know I unlocked all the weapons, costumes, and heart containers, as well as the A-Ranks.  I did not do much with the faeries, and I’m pretty certain maxing out those can take ages.  I don’t really recall the medal list, so there’s a decent chance that’s not full, either.

Pfft, just the building?  I remember when they unveiled the new chicken sandwich, the drive-thru lane was overflowing out onto the street.  Thankfully it’s a double lane street, but still, it was insane to see that many people hyped up for a sandwich.  I’ve had one since then, they’re good, but they’re not Read more

My own definition was just having all the maps say 100%, and I know I reached it. I’ll take a look at my playtime later, though, maybe I put more time into it than I feel like I did. Read more

I’m curious as to how you could put that many hours into it and not have it at 100%. I bought it on the Wii U and then never got around to playing it, so I ended up grabbing the Switch version and I put around 100 hours or so into it, and that was enough to 100% everything. The only thing I didn’t do was max every Read more
