Dr. What?

It was, as the article stated, mostly an allegory about racial fears and stereotyping and politicians/government trying to capitilize on that fear for power. Considering the events of the past couple years, it’s a very timely and powerful message. I’m not sure it’s necessarily a better movie than Inside Out, but it

Sigh...I’ll repeat it again...modern phones are comms devices that should have every communications protocol we can jam into them, even ones that aren’t used that commonly, since they take up so little space. Why no FM reciever? Why no IR blaster? Why no wireless charging? These should be basic parts of every phone

I’m...pretty sure the multiple bluetooth devices thing is not true. Mine connects simultaneously to my car stereo and my fitness tracker all the time.

-edit- Kinja screwed up, was trying to reply to somene else. Ignore.

Don’t you think you might be confusing cause and effect here buddy? I think it’s kind of weird to claim that any particular art form has an inherent interest to only one sex. If you make the kind of comics that only men will enjoy, only men will read them, if you make the kinds of comics women will enjoy, guess what?

The only one of these that seems silly is the report thing. Why WOULDN’T Exxon shareholders want to know how climate change policies would impact the company? That’s just sticking their own heads in the sand, and will undoubtedly bite them in the ass later on. As to the rest of them, it sounds a lot like wanting to

(citation needed) As far as I can see the consensus amonb scientists, and especially plant geneticsts, is that labeling is dumb and unecessary and does nothing but confuse uninformed consumers.

People who carry a deadly weapon at their work and are authorized (in certain situations) to kill people should be held to a significantly different standard than the rest of us. I agree it sucks, but the kind of authority wielded by law enforcement demands accountability and oversight.

Sometimes. Very frequently not. And the fact that it dissipates heat is a disadvantage for some things, like steaks, and an advantage for others where you want to be able to reduce heat quickly. It also doesn’t introduce very much aluminum into your food except in the cases of highly acidic foods, like tomatoes. This

Apparently there were some methodological issues with those studies, and according to the CDC, it’s pretty safe. Which is not that surprising given that aluminum cookware is incredibly common, and has been for a long time.

The option wasn’t “go rogue or be a weapon for someone else” It was “accept some oversight in your actions or else retire”. He didn’t need to be a weapon for someone else, but he also couldn’t (and shouldn’t) have been allowed to operate completely on his own say so, that’s the very definition of “might makes right”.

Did he fly off in a viper at the end?

I thought it was a Weird Al song until just now....

Does it help that I acknowledged that I didn’t know what it was called? Or does that just make it worse that I knew I didn’t know and was too lazy to look it up?

I didn’t think his mass was variable, I thought he had the mass of an ant, but kept his strength (I realize that this doesn’t make sense with him punching people and not going flying backwards) but I’m pretty sure he isn’t supposed to have his normal mass.

There are some insects that jump at over 400g and this site claims that some beetles can withstand over 5000 gs although the link to the paper is broken so there isn’t a source.

I’m pretty sure that the g-forces have a lot less impact when you are that small. As they say: from a given height, a mouse will bounce, a man will be broken, and a horse will splash. Three very different reactions to basically the same g forces because of dramatically different masses. In fact, some insects propel

I just want them to start putting in the communication bells and whistles that they have started taking out. I went with last years LG G4 instead of any of the new flagships (purchased just a few weeks ago) because it was the only phone that had an IR blaster, an FM reciever, expandable storage, swappable battery, and

They changed the title. In it’s original version, it was not clear at all. And yes, while you can just go read the article, that doesn’t excuse a crappy title.

Yeah that’s some grade A title gore.
