This is in GREAT shape!  You know how you can tell?  The loop on the oil dipstick is still there!  (They made them out of brittle plastic which dried from the engine heat, and snapped off).

I’ve had a lifelong thing for Maserati. No idea why. Back in 2001, when these things first came out, I went down to the local dealer, and test drove one. BLEH, MEH, etc. Uninspiring performance, numb handling, etc. I remember thinking “This thing handles like a boat!”.  (And this was before any consideration was given

What does it look like upside down in a ditch on fire?

Anyone wondering why the seemingly faster cars had trouble passing Alonso, has never watched Alonso race. He’s faster where he CAN be, and craftier where he NEEDS to be.

And yes, I noticed the Phoenix Suns stickers myself.  (During yesterday’s “non-qualifying qualifying” session.)

But what we ALL want to know: Will he have it fixed by the date of his arbitrarily picked cross-country trip to Moab?

This just in, taking your car to the dealer NOT the cheapest way to repair it.  FILM AT 11!

Why are they saying this?  Because DADDY Mazepin is likely to own the team next year, and will be all their bosses.  Sooo, they need to placate baby Mazepin somehow!

2 Things here.
* You have to close 1 eye, and read what NASCAR says here. “The dummy survived” COULD mean “The dummy was still in one piece, and could be used again.”
* If they switch to composites, does that mean the end of thanking “The boys back in the metal shop”?

I predict Gene is out soon.  Maybe the end of the year, when he sells the team for Daddy Mazespin.  I wonder how much longer we have to wait until ALL the teams are owned by Billionaire dads paying for their kids to have a place to play?

I have a friend who owned one still under warranty ($6k a YEAR to renew, and no SANE person doesn’t renew it). And the car was just a total pain in the ass. He ended up selling it to Youtuber Troy Sowers, who kept it for a while, and got tired of the $500 a month McLaren tax, and got rid of it as well. So, generally

The Wizard, and I think Hoovie has already learned his lesson about these things.  The $35k glass transmission kinda did the deed for him.

And the absolute KING of irony.  Hamilton is now hoping the FIA does something to level the playing field.  (Since the rear-wing change didn’t help them).

I just want to say if Pirelli changed something significant in the tires in the off-season, BLESS YOU GUYS!  Best “first few races” to a season in a long time.

BONO!  MUH TIRES!

There are PLENTY of drivers in F2 that would LOVE an opportunity to race in the big show.  As history has shown, lots of really good drivers did time in inferior hardware before moving to a more competitive team.

Voice based navigation with realtime traffic.

The safety car lines are before, and after the pits? In Baku, isn’t the pit lane on the long front straight? If that’s the case, this will do NOTHING, as no one putts down the straight.

Back in the 80's the Nashville Peugeot dealer was running “Buy one, get one free” deals on the 505.  (Peugeot was in the throes of leaving the US market at the time, but still!).

If they buy it, I predict it’ll return to being a “we make beautiful cars that are total shit” status. And should that happen, all those folks who complained about Audi “Stealing the soul of the cars” can line up to buy one again. (While simultaneously looking for a new home near the dealer).
