Bingo.
Bingo.
In one admittedly eggregious but indicative example, I once had a woman angrily spread a rumor among a circle of friends that I rejected and disrespected her because she looked me in the eyes when talking to me and touched my arm when we first met. According to a friend, she claimed she made herself obvious and I…
Exactly. And it’s not like this is just traditional women either, it’s the vast majority, including those who claim to be interested in equality.
Yep. As a black male, that’s what is so infuriating about the (mostly white) women who want to derail a discussion about gun violence and suggest that it needs to be looked at from a domestic violence perspective.
Yes, that’s a domestic violence issue. And it’s a big problem. But gun violence and domestic violence aren’t the same. The policy responses to them are different. It’s derailing to turn a gun violence discussion into a domestic violence discussion because that obscures how we would best address gun violence.
That’s the disturbing thing. To them, that IS solving the problem. The other 84% includes their sons, brothers, fathers, and friends, but their possible victimhood to gun violence is irrelevant. I mean, Clements was the daughter of a Sandy hook survivor. Why should we only be concerned with on subset of the Sandy Hook…
Yeah, it seems like an odd form of victim blaming to me. Like, if you’re murdered by someone of your own gender, because you share genetalia with that person you’re not as much of a victim. How fucking stupid.
The assertion was that women make up the majority of victims. That’s just patently false. We’re talking here about the VICTIMS.
Yeah, it doesn’t help the cause of dealing with gun violence if you’re going to completely misrepresent the facts about who is inordinately affected.
Oh wonderful, let’s get this racist asshole involved in discussions about gun violence. She can blame it all on black and hispanic dudes again. Cuz they’re all criminals amirite???
Carly Fiorina is a man?
Absolutely not. Kids are like Pokemon, you have to collect them all!
Last comment heard: “I heard they opened up a new bar called the Blue Oyster, we should go check it out.”
This needs more stars. I tried to do my part.
This was exactly what I thought. I did my undergrad at Berkeley, where I imagine these folks only enter after dousing themselves in holy water, and none of the things they guarantee professors will say ever, ever, ever, even came close to coming up. Certainly nothing related to personal upbringing and religion. And…
“You need to read and internalize and repeat this propaganda to prevent anyone from brainwashing you.”
I hear ya. I mean, when I need to get myself done up, I’ll look good. But if I’m performing some kind of function, like helping someone move, it helps for my clothes to be functional as well.
How many times are people going to answer #notallwomen? If this isn’t something that you do, then it’s not about you. And I think that the daddy issues label is stupid—just like guys, these women should just be called assholes as well.
She was helping someone move right? Cargo shorts would actually be the most apporopriate damned thing to wear!
