Unpopular opinion: Much like the Star Wars franchise, itself, Spaceballs isn’t that great, overall, but it’s benefited from nostalgia as its primary audience first watched it when they were teens or younger. It features some gifted comedians and has a few good gags, but most of it plays like a bad SNL parody, and it

Between Furiosa and The Fall Guy getting rave reviews yet disappointing in the box office it may be time to admit that the movies themselves are not the problem. It’s the theater experience, which a LOT of people complain about between the cost and inconvenience. There’s a lot of talk about how these movies failed but

well I guess the important thing is to promote the interview by linking to it and making claims to be concerned for this woman's mental health

I like the Seinfeld finale. People seemed to totally forget it was a show about 4 awful, terrible people.

“Opposing council”?? More importantly, just admit you didn’t really like this show. Giving this show a B is absurd. I thought it was at least an A-. AV Club’s reviews this season have been terrible with zero insight, written by someone who does not get the show.

You pretty much knew all season that the finale was going to be some kind of do-over. Though it was kind of interesting that the Seinfeld gang were on trial for not helping someone, while Larry’s crime was helping his friend, who was hot and thirsty. Also, neither of them knew what they had done was a crime.

The final shot of the seven of them arguing manners was exactly the right way to end it and how I want to imagine them forever.

My wife is also clueless so usually I give her a nudge, but then she’ll declare to everyone else in the room, “WHY ARE YOU NUDGING ME!?”

Dammit, Larry! RIP Mr. Lewis.

“Movie with a previously announced sequel ends with a cliffhanger, in shocking turn of events.”

This is the kind of thing we have to stop doing. Dave Chapelle is funny, says funny things, and makes jokes. Some of those jokes hit, some of those jokes feel a little dated now or maybe don’t work well with the way some people’s values have changed, but it’s just comedy. He isn’t out there advocating for anything

I found part 2 a remarkable game - harder and more uncomfortable than the first, but in a lot of ways better, and a much deeper and more complex reflection on humanity than the first.

I kept wondering why he didn’t wriggle his body to the underside of the branch, so he’d be “on” it, instead of desperately “hanging from” it...

Plus earlier in the episode the baby was the wrong way in her womb and they said it'd straighten out in time for the birth. So there's a parallel there with Asher literally the wrong way inside the house when her labor starts and he struggles to escape the house like the baby struggles to escape her womb and both

“An 80-minute movie”—Oooh!

I remember Daphne’s big thing was her premonitions and weird spiritual beliefs, which was a nice contrast to the more practical Niles. I’d imagine their kid would say the most ridiculous things, but with a straight face.

if that kramer vs kramer vs godzilla joke is any indicator this will be the third funniest movie of 1985.

Zaslav: Today’s young people are entitled and lazy!

This episode made me tear up for nearly half the runtime. It just hit those emotional notes so perfectly, giving you every ounce of Alora’s feelings as she considers, probes, and wrestles with herself. Jacobs was an absolute superstar, in the writing and performance.
