The Oregon coast is gorgeous. I did a roadtrip all down the coast of WA & OR what seems like a lifetime ago in my shitty 1987 VW Golf and the whole thing was amazing. Should be a great place for a family gathering.

Dentist went good, in and out in 20 minutes. I was told that I would need dentures by the time I was 26 or so, and 11 years later, everything is still stuck in there like it should be.

I’m rewatching The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford right now. It’s interesting to see how, at some point, westerns made a switch from these exciting adventure movies to melancholy, tragedy-laden stories. Even the ones with happy endings are steeped in death and calamity. Maybe one person

I was reading about Biosphere 2 yesterday and it made me thankful in my own isolation to have... adequate oxygen saturation in my home. Can’t take those little things for granted.

Got to head into the dentist today. Despite all of the dangers of going around and having people prod at things in my mouth and faces near each other, I need to make sure my teeth aren’t falling out of my head before everything shuts down again. At least afterwards I can go over to my parents and look for my

I need to sell mine as well. Have a handful of dual lands from the revised (4th?) edition and some other random classics from the mid to late 90s. There’s a good game shop in town that sells infiv cards and I see people there playing all the time, and I’d pretty much let them have the whole thing for a song. Though I

Sweet toys, Fahey! I mostly stick to the occasional lego sets, though I think in one of the storage boxes upstairs I have my 1985 Jetfire figure, along with some of the plastic accessories still. By far the coolest and sturdiest toy I’ve owned, and I played the hell out of it as a kid, constantly transforming it. I

I do miss Riley but that has nothing to do with being happy for a visit from you, Mister Fahey! Always glad to see you!

Yeah I’m in a similar mindset. You want me to work super fast doing a billion things at once, but also want it to be perfectly done. These two things are at complete odds with each other....

I feel the same way about my job. Except maybe the decision-making at higher levels. My team is also on our third manager in the last 9 months. Yikes.

My job feels like 90 percent busywork. There’s no visible impact from my day-to-day input. It’s boring and disheartening. The worst part is, I dunno how to get out of

I am in the same boat, for basically everything.

It’s not a *popular* way to deal with work burnout, but I’m currently just kind of giving up caring about the big picture that motivates me and just kind of giving in to getting whatever is in front of me done. I’m not a fan of my job at this point and think all the high level decisions are wrong, not to mention all

The San Juan Islands are freaking gorgeous. I’ve been through and done some camping in that area a couple of times, but it’s been ages. And you’re totally right: if you only get a little rain, you’ve done well. Hopefully we don’t have to keep the border closed forever and I can get back down there someday...

Not a lot to me today, it’s just... Tuesday. Starting to plan the next grocery trip, getting by with the workday, hoping for the best.

You only had to do your taxes to get the stimulus if they didn’t already have your info on file. Otherwise they just used it from last year, I believe.

It’s my birthday today which always fills me with dread and memories. It feels so weird to live through awful stuff and now life is just calm. My chosen family are going to spend time with me and understand that I might be sad or scared randomly. I am glad I lived through what I did so I could experience kindness like

Awesome. That's exactly the vibe I'm looking for!

My plan for the weekend is to try and get through What Remains of Edith Fitch in a few sittings in order to cross that off the backlog and have a change of pace. I think I’ll also try to pick GT Sport back up and continue my license trials.

The weekends bring very little relief for me for the past month. I don’t know if that will change soon or not. Starting playing through Sonic Mania again, such a fun game. I’ve got some others to go back to if I wrap that up, but I’d like to do some Mania mode run throughs using Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying

That’s fantastic, wish you the best time.  :)
