Glad to hear they did that for you!
Glad to hear they did that for you!
That's awesome!
I started up an Instagram account a couple weeks back to participate in a painting challenge. For a while it kept me motivated to paint at least one thing a week to provide an update. However I had several miniatures ruined by a bad can of sealer, so I lost interest. Plus my photography skills suck, so I want to stop…
I would recommend getting a string winder. They are little plastic handles that fit over the turnkeys of the tuning pegs and make the process of winding the strings much easier and quicker. They will run you less than 5 bucks at a music shop, and can often be found next to the strings and picks.
If you have some money to burn and a Whole Foods nearby, Jeni’s Ice Cream was selling their Frose in pints last I knew. Stupid expensive but incredibly tasty. Birthday treat?
Grilling and cocktails? You’re speaking my language here. My wife and I figured out we can use our ice cream maker to make frośe, so that often happens during grilling season. Cheers to a happy birthday!
Kale is rarely as good as any other hearty green. Chard is where it’s at.
I don’t mind “cheeseburger soup” and that has lettuce in it, so I say go for it. Like you said, worst case the dish sucks and you have less lettuce, so maybe cook a second meal at the same time that you don’t mind reheating if the soup turns out okay.
Most of my social interaction is with my roommate who is surprisingly cavalier about social distancing, so that’s lovely. Otherwise it’s the grocery store on Fridays and I’ve gone back to private kung fu lessons once a week. So there’s an hour of one-on-one. But it certainly doesn’t beat when classes are running, and…
Pretty much. Instead of a nice shiny cat wand, mine decided that the extendable swiffer duster wand was a better play toy.
Forecast says it’s going to be 90 today, so the window shaker is at the ready and the dogs are already splayed out and lazy. Thinking about baking a cake this morning before it really starts warming up.
I tell people that I get all of the social interaction that I need for the day by stopping by Walmart for ten minutes. Not because Walmart is terrible and makes me lose faith in humanity, but because just interacting with a couple of people for five seconds a piece is enough for my introverted little heart. I was…
The cat lost the ball in his little catnip toy, so I’ve been on the look out for replacement ping pong balls for the past few weeks. For some reason, every store around me is clear out of them. It’s baffling. I broke down and ordered some last night off of Amazon, a 40 pack for 12 bucks.
When are you setting the traps? During the fight or before it? I’d recommend doing it beforehand after seeing where they’re going (the little trail they go on that shows their path with the focus)
Agreed. It was very satisfying to see him upset like that.
Definitely had a real “dejected Charlie Brown” feel to it.
Thankfully my list isn’t too long right now: get through the workday, cooking dinner for the week, take the garbage out. Optional is laundry and baking a bundt cake. Then comes making progress on a jigsaw puzzle.
Wife forgot that it was Father’s Day yesterday. That was a fun conversation. I asked if she could cook dinner and instead of checking if I had any requests she just made a random crock-pot meal. Considering that she forgot my birthday a couple years back, I’m not even the least bit surprised when she can’t even do the…
I’ve been replaying Horizon and I believe if the item just says like “can be sold to vendors” then sell it, but if it says anything else like “can be traded” or something then it ends up being used for crafting and stuff later. Pick up everything though. Just make sure to kill some animals so you can upgrade your…
I was just thinking the other night on how the lack of a coherent national pandemic response and a very poor safety net for labor and actual small businesses has made landlords the gatekeepers of survival for so many residents and businesses, but especially local restaurants. And who trusts landlords as a group to…
