Truly the Belmont ruins are beautiful and expressionistic in all the right ways.

I am decidedly not an anime person (I only have some of Dragon Ball Z and Cowboy Bebop under my belt), but I have been liking the first few episodes of Castlevania a lot! Something about the self-serious Gothic horror combined with some of the most sarcastic characters I have ever encountered in pop culture is just a

Good call, it’s tough to go back to Dark Souls after playing Bloodborne.

I have made it to the second area of Monster Hunter World with my friend, me wielding the axe/sword & shield weapon and him the double daggers. We are just blasting through monsters together at the moment, while I am doing a more thorough play through solo with the poker lance +beetle weapon.

Similar, I bought all the DLC for Fallout 4 a while ago and have been plugging away on a play through where I based my character on Bullseye (high perception and luck, no companions or charisma because of the psychosis) so I can finally get to the content. I don’t think I have run into any of it at this point (level

My buddy and I will be playing Monster Hunter World tonight. I think we finally settled on him using the dual blades for mobility/damage and me using the large sword/shield thing that turns into an axe or whatever as the tank.

That’s a good way to do it. I was not clear in my first response, but I did not play through it twice. I just only did the purification ending and then moved on to a less stressful game.

I am going on my first over week long vacation in over a year, so that’s exciting! It means lots of time spent outdoors and no video game time, but I think I will be ready to move on to chapter 4 in Death Stranding when I return.  I could tool around Chapter 3 indefinitely, because I love it so much, but it feels like

I knew if I didn’t play through it again immediately after beating it, I probably wouldn’t ever pick it up again.  I did love the game, but I am happy with the ending I got and just have so many other lovely games I could be playing. (Ones that don’t make me want to break my controller.)

I decided I was not ready for Episode 4 of Death Stranding, so I went back to an earlier save so I could continue my enjoyable progression with the LAPDX (Lonely Astronaut Package Delivery Express). I really like the online-lite and feel good building roads and other things to help those also in the area.

I just made it to Episode 4 of Death Stranding, which kind of blew my mind (not the first time with this game). I had just started to love the slow pacing of the game, and it’s odd atmospheric combination of desolation and pluckiness, so this new chapter is pretty jarring. Hopefully I will be back to the almost

I got through the intro of Death Stranding (very stilted dialogue, great symbolism so far), and am now I am in Episode 2, so probably continue trekking my way through the rainy East Coast while I look out the window at the rainy West Coast.

Despite a couple issues, I really like Horizon Zero Dawn, and it gets better the further you progress. Nioh I liked in theory (although the intro level is just dumb and ugly), but had just finished Sekiro beforehand, so I got burnt out on fighting long bosses again really quickly. Can’t speak to the other two games.

Duplicate post: ignore.

I just got Monster Hunter World from my office’s Secret Santa exchange (thanks coworker who is my mom’s age!).  Within 24 hours I was able to convince my buddy to buy it and have been coordinating what weapons we want to use and will hopefully hop on our first mission this weekend.  Any suggestions on favorite weapons

I got Lego Harry Potter as a gift for my partner’s birthday recently, in part because of your recommendation, and we’ve been having a blast playing it together, so thank you for that! There’s nothing quite as fun as both just completely blasting apart a new room together, and both tag-team dissing on Ron.

More Lego Harry Potter with my partner, most likely. If I have any down time from Christmas shopping and other prep work before I leave for the holidays, I may work on my 4th retelling (or 5th) of the classic Christmas tale: Bloodborne.

A suggestion from Batista Thumbs Upon on this weekly thread convinced me to buy the Lego Harry Potter series as a gift for my partner’s birthday. It took her a minute to warm up to it (after initially bemoaning that it wasn’t “exactly like the PS1 Harry Potter game”), but as soon as she got past the opening levels and

Agreed, as soon as I knew that Manhattan was in play I shouted “Cal!!” at my TV. I definitely think Veidt is in the statute; less sure about Veidt being Trieu’s father, but if her father is going to be at the tower unveiling it seems unfreezing him from a statute would be the easiest way to make that happen.

“To Whom it May Concern: I, Adrian Veidt, bid you hello!  You don’t know me, though you may have heard of me, but that’s not the point.  Long story short... I need helf”
