Why? You enjoy having to buy a separate console for games that could just as easily come out on better hardware? No one buys a Nintendo console for the 3rd party shit at this point. No one was like “WOW MASS EFFECT 3 AND BLACK FLAG ON WII U, THIS IS MY DREAM!”.

Same. I had them all the way from NES to Wii, and no more. Not until the product achieves some level of parity with other platforms that are similar in price.

Oh no, please no, whatever shall i do

1) No, I have a PC
2) No, I don’t play Minecraft, but I do get upset when RL framedrops from 144 to like 120. It’s jarring.
3) I don’t really enjoy games running at 30, yeah. Since I got my 144hz display it feels very jittery. Depending on the game, unplayable. Anything action related, or a shooter is unplayable,

Wii U footage of BotW looks like it’s struggled to hit 30FPS, and if the Switch hits it when portable I will be absolutely astounded. At that point I would gladly eat crow. I expect things to be more like 30FPS (console), and 20 FPS (portable).

It’s called knowing Nintendo, and their habits and how they work. Ever since the Gamecube era has ended, Nintendo has used the cheapest parts they can viably use. 3DS is shockingly underpowered compared to mobile phones nowadays, Wii U is also basically on par with last-gen systems.

Or what, bigshot?

Sega? You mean the company that’s publishing series like Total War, Alien: Isolation, Football Manager, Bayonetta, Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza, etc?

Well shit, I’m sorry you apparently don’t have eyes.

I didn’t say I’m seeing slowdown, I’m saying that you can literally see each individual frame of the sword being swung, as opposed to a fluid motion.

I believe they will too because they’re hard headed assholes, but the latter IMO is a much, much better dream. Nintendo has always had some of the absolute best game designers in the industry, bar none, and their games are always quality. Now imagine freeing those designers from hardware that was barely up to par 7

What the hell do you do on a gaming news website lol

Watch when the guy is playing it on the plane. You can literally see the frames of the sword moving when he attacks the monster. It’s especially apparent if you play it in 0.25 speed. You can see the skipping between each individual frame of the sword attack motion rendered, and it looks *awful*.

Be honest with me. Which would excite you more? This announcement, knowing that your favorite franchises are coming around for another try on substandard, gimmicky hardware, or if Nintendo announced today that all their first party games were going to be on PS4, Xbone, and PC?

I think the big question is the horsepower. The “console” type games looked like they were chugging badly when in tablet mode.

It looks like it absolutely CHUGS, framerate wise. It looks beyond terrible, and this video is supposed to make a good first impression...

I guarantee that Zelda is going to be struggling to push 30 fps, and it’s going to be to the detriment of the game. It looked utterly awful in this video.

Oh man. This is not going to end well at all. This looks like a solid trainwreck, tbqh

I don’t actually think it’s the government’s job to fix the lives of the poor, tbh.

The actual city of “Kansas City, Kansas” would likely disagree with your notion.
