My kids watch Milo and Otis probably 1000 times. Dudley Moore as a Pug had a hypnotizing effect. This was one of our favorite movies and very soothing to watch, young and old.

FLUKE!!!! All hail the derpiness of Irish Setters with Matthew Modine voice overs. Loved this movie and watched it with my kids when the were little and they loved it too.
My husband just bought a used RV as an investment with his friend for 10 grand. They remodeled it with nice tile accents, slipcovers, and area rugs but kept it pretty simple and functional. We have used it on 2 trips to Canada but have rented it out for most of the summer on rentmyrv.com. Most people want to rent it…
It's all gone downhill since the EM-50.
One more story about tracking kids- my close friend and neighbor is adamant about tracking her kids and their every move online. I don’t do this AT ALL and she warned me that my kids were in danger because of it. My kids tell me everything and are super responsible so I respectfully disagreed with her.
Fair enough- but this hypervigilant-super-parent is an absolute myth. We simply cannot prevent anythinh bad from ever happening to our kids. Because then nothing good will ever happen either...Finding Nemo wisdom.
As a mom of teens who does not track/stalk/control and prefers good old fashioned conversation and in-person eyerolls, there’s a generation of kids with crazy parents abusing technology to creep on their own kids. The kids will outsmart you and technology.
We have 3 high energy dogs (pointer rescues) and they require substantial exercise and stimulation to be good dogs. They also think they are people and most definitely do not perform on cue. But we don't video them for attention and 'likes'. Because we are not assholes.
Gross.
Some, not all women. My first female boss was childless and made it clear that work not family always came first. Second female boss was driven and rising star in the company and I was so scared to tell her I was pregnant. But she was also pregnant and due the same month as me! I had no issues and paid leave for 4…
Don't be sad. They can still eat and drink. They are not used to being on grass and free ranging but are adjusting. We are easing them into our flock slowly so our girls don't peck at them. Pecking order is real! But we can give them safe places to go and hiding spots and split up food so there are less fights.
Because chickens confined to cages where they cannot move will peck each other to death. So instead of giving them access to grass and dirt where they will eat bugs and peck naturally and have room to walk around, these fuckers cut off their beaks. It is a standard practice with factory farms, unfortunately😈.
They will give us eggs which is the main protein we eat with 3 teens in the house. They also are our composters of all food scraps and give us unbelievable fertilizer for our gardens. We will treat them like queens. My husband doesn’t even know we got more chickens yet😂. He is the lovely one to tolerate the ever…
I also rescued 4 hens today. They were to be destroyed after the truck carrying them was in an accident. I took them without seeing them...and I am so upset! Factory fucking farmers clipping beaks is not ok!
A month ago today, we had our first ever fox attack on our flock. If it weren’t for this badass hen that acted like a rooster and went all chicken ninja on the fox to wake us up and get to our deck(where the fox had her in his mouth), we could have lost so many.
That handwriting is gorgeous. What a thoughtful gift. I will now check out this author.
I’ve had so many imperfect parenting moments that I freely admit. My daughter at 18 months called 911 on ME because she thought I was mean when I wouldn’t give her chocolate milk! The police lectured me on controlling my kids. Still haven’t got that down😂.
I remember vividly when my son was a few weeks old and waking up every hour to be fed at night and being DEAD EXHAUSTED. My husband tried to help but I was nursing, so he would bring baby to me in bed and then I would put him back in the bassinet next to the bed.
Wow! Very cool about Potter and her illustrations. I wandered the woods for hours finding all kinds of treasures and it IS really fascinating and energizing to discover nature's bounty. Potter’s imagination and curiosity at a time when women didn’t have opportunities...she was a trailblazer!
