Star Was indeed!

When I’m on the road I’m an Away Skillet.

Finally! At long last, Ginuwine weighs in on the subject everyone is talking about!!

I will never bet my sweet tush

I watched two minutes of Barbie, followed by three minutes of Oppenheimer, followed by two minutes of Barbie, and so forth, as the filmmakers clearly intended.

Didn’t watch the show, didn’t read the article, but from the headline I assume that he died on air?

I thought it was a fun commentary on the classic TV trope of stunt casting or a special guest of the week.

Viewed through the lens of Wandavision’s fascination with TV tropes I don’t think egregious stunt casting really crosses any lines here.

Pretty sure you can sue the TV for this!

Maybe he witnessed the crime... because he committed it?

I hear his name is actually spelled “Gary”.

I mean its a pity Deadspin disabled all comments a year or two back, as someone could tell the excitable writer over there that he fucked up when he was rushing out his omg blackface!! piece about the chiefs fan kid (who apparently is a first nations kid as well). Turns out the little fella had red and black

Video games are a hot-button issue these days. Discussions on the topic can get heated and controversial fast. Better to only allow comments on wholesome and unifying stuff like skin color.

8/9ths of a perfect series. They couldn’t stick the landing (or, when I’m feeling uncharitable, they chickened out), but who can these days? Vince Gilligan and that’s about it. I might have to hint to my s.o. that I want this.

Saw Ozzy in the ‘80s. Ultimate Sin tour (I think). I would’ve been about 16. He seemed so old. The way he lumbered around the stage (“I love you all!” “CLAP YOUR GODDAMN HANDS!” “I love you all!”) I figured he’d be checking out at any time.

Well, Aussie by choice — he was born in Malta. Which makes him particularly appropriate to play the “short, dead dude” because like Corsica, Malta is also an island in the Mediterranean!

Yes, more of this please. I enjoy reading about the supporting actors, crew members, and others who make indelible contributions to films but don’t get the coverage of the stars and directors.

Seconding that this is great, I never would have thought to read an interview with this guy, but then you read it and it’s true: he really is in a lot of the movie and I remember his part very distinctly (and not just Waterloo)

This is great — something the “old” AVClub would do. While certainly people have been thinking about this performance lately for obvious reasons, I don’t think most of us really stopped to think about the actor himself (I didn’t even know his name) and how he got to play Napoleon.
