I think those comments were from an earlier version of the story, where it seemed that Townley might be the victim of a crime.

As a pedantic note, the past tense of thrust is thrust.

I’m in manufacturing and agree. The cost of holding inventory is around 0.2%/month. It’s idiotic to risk major outages for such a small number.

Great summary of the problem.  I know I’ve thrown some shade about lazy reporting, but this is an example of how it looks when you hit one out of the park.
