I’ve gone back and forth over the years but after reading an article about the movie by Katie Baker I’m now firmly in the ‘not on purpose’ side. The movie was based on a documentary of the same name that was produced by the son / nephew of the characters that inspired Dottie and Kit. He had this to say about if the…
Would prefer Daggerfall. It’s been ages but if I remember right by the time I stopped playing I had some really cool shit in that game. A horse, a mansion in like every major town, and possibly my own pirate ship?
The only thing I ever want to see from any of these expos is for Nintendo to announce an X-Wing Rogue Squadron port to the Switch.
Shining Force I and II
I’d also like to see X-Wing get a remaster, but I’d also want the gameplay improvements from Tie Fighter added,
SHINING FORCE! I’ve been scrolling the comments and honeslty surprised I had to go this far down to see someone bring it up. Shining Force II and the Sega Gamegear version were great as well. They did a really great port of the first one for IOS a few years back but it seems to no longer be supported.
would love to see Betrayal at Krondor - I never played the original but always felt like I was missing a piece of the story in the ‘magicians series’ so during a recent re-read of Feist’s work I downloaded the game on steam and.... yikes. I’m sure it was amazing at the time but very hard to get into now.
This is a great point - I just recently got back into casual gaming during COVID and bought an xbox on ebay. I’ve been playing it for about 3 months now, a few times a week, and if you asked me what model I have, I honestly couldn’t tell you off the top of my head. It’s white, and doesn’t have a disk drive. That’s all…
I’ll be playing the terrible story-mode in Squadrons and fighting the urge to friendly fire on the rest of Vanguard squadron - aka the dorkiest bunch of dorks that ever dorked. They are like a highschool AV Club or particularly precocious D&D group, only in x-wings. To the extent Vanguard shares the same expanded…
Yeah I’m terrible at this game but I really enjoy playing. The odds of me surviving a pass at a capital ship, turning around, and making a second attempt without being killed are basically zero. So if I’m making a run at a shield generator, get my missles or whatever off, and I’m almost dead anyway? I’m ramming…
Yeah, I always wished they had made them in reverse order because graphics, gameplay, and story (ESPECIALLY THE STORY) were sooo much better in Tie-Fighter.
I don’t understand why they can’t port at least the first Rogue Squadron to Switch. Seems like a no-brainer.
The New Republic is a bit too goody-goody ...
Agree. I don’t much enjoy repairable weapon degradation either. I get what they’re going for, I could see the appeal for certain types of gamers, but it’s not for me. Would much prefer weapon degradation / breaking as a difficulty slider.
I have this question as well, and also Vidalia onions which I think only come from Georgia?
I will absolutely let an entree grow cold while I wait for a glass of wine. I will also sulk about it but luckily for me my spouse would never post about it on twitter, and if she did it would be something like “look at this fucking boozebag asshole ruining date night.”
I think you customize both an imperial and rebel pilot, so you can probably play as any gender / ethnicity. Would be curious to see if you can play as an ‘alien’ on the rebel side, or less likely the imperial side.
This show was so good and one of the few on which my wife and I completely agreed. Our plan if we ever won a big time lottery was to pay the cast to hang out with us in character once a month.
I saw this in London with my parents when I was like 5? At intermission they let me go out on my own to buy something (this was the 80's, parents would let their 5 year old roam freely in a crowded theatre). Anyway, I bought whatever it was but I didn’t realize the seats or the stage had somehow moved during the first…
