This has proven amazingly effective for our three year-old:

My wife and I typically play to our strengths we have a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old). As the night owl, I handle any awakenings before 1AM. She handles the early morning stuff (4Am on). For the most part it has worked great, as long as we have kids sleeping through the no-mans land of 1-4AM.

Might be volume? I basically use Siraccha like ketchup, where as about 1/4 the amount of cholula seems to go the same distance from a heat standpoint, if not a little further.

Selfishly I would love to see a tougher cut of beef, like briscuit.... because I have leftover briscuit and I want to sous-vide it.

Recently switched from Siracha to Cholula, as my generic go-to source for heat, and aside from a refreshing change of pace from a flavor standpoint the add’l heat is nice too.

I’m curious to see how long the QB’s on these teams you referenced are able to keep it up. For every play that seems to counter the speed of the defense and the lack of reps / padded practice the O-line is dealing with, there’s another play where the QB ends up on their ass.

Wrangling answers out of my 3 y/o is tough. What seems to work is ‘tell me ONE thing that happened at school today?’ Because ‘How was your day’ is kind of nebulous to a pre-schooler. Narrowing the scope seems to get the ball rolling.

Grotto, on Bowdoin street I believe

Ha! I didn’t see this before I replied but aside from the NE / RI being swapped I had a very similar response.

  • What’s your favorite cream-based soup? There is a restaurant here in Boston that makes a garlic soup with black truffle and parmesan, and it is amazing. I’d love to be able to make it but honestly seeing the amount of heavy cream that must go into this, and god knows what else, would probably spoil it for me.

So, our experience with Ripple went a little differently....

I will never understand the hatred for Meghan Trainor on this site. It’s bland pop music, along with what seems like everything else that falls under top 40ish (is that still a thing?) music these days. Why single out Trainor? It’s weird.

ICE. This kills me, even nice bars that are known for great cocktails or have a great booze selection so frequently use watery, thin machine made ice. I like square ice cubes, medium or one big one, but square damn it. Or, and I’ve only seen this at a couple places, ice chipped off of a giant block is pretty damn

So much this. They get all the reward of parents being excited they tried something and liked it and then bail once they’ve reaped that initial praise.

This is a cool idea. We’re a mixed faith family and my wife has been looking for ways to add more Jewish traditions throughout the year because Christmas and Easter are so overwhelming (and easy sells for younger kids). We’ve started to doing shabbos(sp?) candles on Fridays because who doesn’t like fire? But

That may work for some kids, but it’s as likely to cause them to not eat the mac and cheese because it’s touching the things they don’t like (or think they don’t like).

Love this idea but trying to get my incredibly picky 3 y/o to eat things in any kind of order is going to be a bigger fight that may not be worth the payoff. Maybe when she’s a littler older and more familiar with board game structure?

Haha - to be honest I was indifferent until I started working in Boston with a bunch of BC alum. You guys brought this on yourselves.

Loving the warm welcome! Can’t wait to try the BBQ.
