Great story behind the colors; clearly I made a good choice.

My college didn’t have a football team, and I’m from the Northeast where you don’t generally root for a college program you didn’t attend just because they’re local. If anything you root against them (eat shit BC!). My sundays are dominated by football and w/ two kids under 4 I’m thankful I get to watch the Pats…
Can’t stop laughing at this. Excellent anecdote. Thank you for sharing.
I generally pack the gin away after labor day but summer seems to be still fully in effect here on the east coast; will definitely try this week. Are lime leafs something you can pick up at wholefoods type places?
I’d put my overall handiness, at least for my generation, at a solid C (which is a babyboomer D+, and a WWII generation F-).
Honestly, isn’t it already gamified? Except each person is using their own scoring system. I definitely see value in aligning the relative importance, time, and enjoyableness (or lack there of) of parenting and household tasks.
Wow, this came at a great time- with two kids under 3 1/2, so much of the arguments my wife and I have are around the division of labor. As parents, and husband and wife, we are on the same page about nearly everything else. But something about that 2nd kid while your first is still in diapers really turns two…
“Friday Night’s a Great Night for Football,” the song used in the opening credits for the made-up football league in The Last Boyscout, is the best football opening song of all time.
That was the part I was missing - not ‘cooperating’ was against the CBA, and ‘Cooperation’ is extended to ‘give us your cel phone’. Amazing that any CBA could be written in a way where a public figure can be punished for not surrendering their personal cel phone, to a leak-prone, vendetta carrying, shit-show of an…
SAME. I hate these agencies with the fire of a thousand suns. I cannot for the life of me log back into my transunion account. They’re using account questions / answers that weren’t even in place when I signed up.
I wish someone would clarify this with certainty - but I seriously doubt checking to see if your information was compromised qualifies as ‘using their product(s)‘. More over, there was no box to check or anything, I simply got a message saying my data MAY have been impacted, and clicking on the credit monitoring tab…
“We’ve got rules that say if you don’t tell the truth to the commissioner then you can get sanctioned”
In college and my early 20's after a night of serious debauchery I would occasionally wake up with that weird feeling like I did something awful or stupid the night before. After a few minutes I’d remember, and it was usually pretty tame stuff but that few seconds of not knowing were always agonizing.
Yes, this. One of the few times I ever remember the Pats getting booed by the home crowd in the BB era. I’m not sure if I’d put that last night on that level b/c it seemed like guys just weren’t executing their assignments as much if not more than the coaching.
Glad I could help even that little bit. USVI, St. John in particular, is without question my favorite place on this entire planet. Hope everyone is able to get through this somehow.
This made me laugh way more than it should have
Not sure what actual tough questions you were expecting Brian Baldinger to be fielding this week...... but yes, please stay safe and best of luck getting through Irma.
Yeah, I assume something terrible is waiting for us down the road in the Karma department....... but I actually hit ctrl F on every WYTS post for ‘Patriots’, ‘Brady’, and ‘Belichick’. just so I could revel in everyone else’s misery.
Any pats fan in their mid to late 30's had a second team growing up. If they say otherwise, they’re lying. We were too young to really remember the 85 superbowl team so everyone had another team to pull for once the pats were mathematically out of contention the 3rd week of September.
I don’t know if that’s the usual mentality with people giving kids ipads at restaurants (or anywhere else). I’m sure for some it is, but if you don’t know the kind of day a family has had or what circumstances led to handing out a tablet or phone at a restaurant I wouldn’t assume anything.
