The one thing Mario Kart Wii still has going for it is that it was easy as heck to mod your Wii and get tons of custom tracks (admittedly, of varying quality. But still, plenty that were quite good!)

Agreed, it’s just so dynamic and feels so alive, i went back just 1 generation and played mario kart Wii on the Mother-in-laws Wii with my son and it was just flat and boring. I was shocked by how much it changed in just one iteration.

$60 for a new Mario Party game that should should have been content included in the base game, or at least a $20 DLC a few months after release.
(Using BotW as precedent, $20 is a pretty damn significant amount of content for an already massive game)

Another issue is that I’ve found multiple pokestops which are in private/gated areas that people literally *cannot* access. 

This feels like purely punishment - like making things worse for the sake of it. They made the distance tweak for Covid, and guess what - it made the game markedly more enjoyable! Other bonuses like remote raid bonus damage, I can kind of understand, but the added spin distance removal is egregious.

Yet another case of Niantic being Niantic again. I have a feeling I won’t be playing until they bring at the very least the stop/gym distance back. There’s literally no point in changing it — they really think that people are going to spend money on items because of this?

It’s idiotic regardless of their business model, as keeping a video game console exclusive is in no way preventing character model rips. To say nothing of how easy it is to take live action footage and use that for the purpose of creating deep fakes.

Which is a hilarious concern because people can rip that shit anyway or model their own if they need to. The Last of Us and God of War never found their way to PC and I’ve seen a hilarious amount of SFM memes with Ellie, Joel and Kratos (not to mention some very upsetting porn).

sounds like the talent agency just doesn’t want his character model ripped from the game files and used in SFM porn. this is understandable considering their business model.
