I agree whole heartedly. I was laughing with friends over that because George subverted the Jedi in the prequels so Vader at least had an argument. I made the argument that instead of Luke, it turns out that Mace Window was on the island the movie would have been a million times better. It would have been able to make

Yeah dude. I feel like the mean girls movie quote “Stop trying to make Disney Star Wars a thing.” is all I can think of. The internet wants these movies to be good so bad. I think it’s years of prequel hate, the meme “Star Wars would have been fine if not for George’s meddling!” So now that they are getting Georgeless

I don’t. That’s the best part. He dies trying to be a hero and it fits in with the themes of the film.

Actually having watched The Last Jedi, then watched Force Awakens then The Last Jedi again, it makes Force Awakens even worse. Like all the things they set up from TFA get dropped like your step children from your baby momma’s first tango. When TFA came out I was like if EP8 bombs then I’m giving it a 6.5/10 but if

I loved FF7. I loved how through the Materia System you can have any character with any spell. So characters I didn’t care for weren’t ever in the party. I mostly used cloud, tifa, cid, red 13, and vincent. On my first playthrough I never used Aeris. Like ever. So when I got to the pyramid and the game made me use

Semi-related. So this thread had me ‘member berry lane. Where I grew up the original single screen theater got converted to be able to handle live stage productions along with movies as well. I get dragged to a Christmas carol. They only did two or three shows that year. I was overtly concerned with boredom. Now the

For sure. Being a big budget tent-pole connoisseur I’ve been getting a bunch of flak on this article.

I have large framed glasses so insert double glasses hilarity. At least the IMAX glasses are ginormous.

Best as in tonnes of stupid fun while eating junk food. Not the best as in quality or anything.

That stuff I’ll watch at home. Granted the hipster stuff hasn’t been as good in the last few years. Last really good indie release was The FP. Moonlight was okay and Lady Bird looks okay? I’ve been trying to find a theater with Bright.

A big issue was that “Most Film Goers” didn’t like the “Soap Opera Effect” because Soaps, like my video games, and football are at 60fps to match the tv’s. Like I get a talky that you want to have a slower feel but like the Transformers should have all been 48fps.

Yeah man. I’m down the row from one of the smaller spec’d IMAX. I wish we had the giant one. I can’t justify the expense of the giant tv. Everytime I go to spend $500 or more on a tv I think “That’s two or more car payments.” but $100ish a year spread out over a year is doable.

I get that. I’m a crazy film buff. Most folks just want to go see a 2 hour piece of escapism.

So my mates were like “Yo lets go to Applebee’s and then see the last showing of Live Free or Die Hard.” We get our food and it’s like 10 min to show time. So we box up the food and sneak it into the theater. So the 4 of us had applebee’s and watched Die Hard. It was the best.

Get non-matinee 3D IMAX tickets back to $10 please. I straight up only go to IMAX or IMAX 3D showings barring something special. If the 3D was as good in the actual movie as it was in the trailers I’d see damn near every block buster. I still can’t get over how cool seeing around the earth in Hubble 3D was. The Hobbit

Half my theater reacted in some way.

Totes forgot about middle era tomb raiders. You can get legend, underworld, and anniversary for like $3 on steam right now.

Alpha 3 with out needing a dreamcast or psp emulator, YES PLEASE! Also haven’t played 3rd Strike since playing the cabinet at King’s Dominion in 2003.
