My policy is to believe the women in these cases, but I will admit, this sounds like it could be a case where everyone is telling the truth and the perspectives just vary. (Leaving out the assault case, which I’d need to know more about.) Whether he’a guilty or not, welcoming investigation should absolutely be the…
Twitter is probably not the forum to defend yourself against sexual assault allegations, especially if you’re a public figure of growing fame.
Ignoring people on fucking Twitter isn’t “ducking questions”, it’s simply being an intelligent human being that values their sanity.
he has no obligation to answer those questions, not only is he not obligated but it’s in his best interest not to answer those questions. Especially over twitter. People are gonna judge him unfairly regardless since it’s his word over theirs.
Bullshit. Not wanting to reply to EVERY twitter @ is not “dodging question.” Twitter is not a journalism site. I call bullshit on these accusations. #MeToo should not be just about believing at face value every accusation.
Oh I highly doubt that’s the reason.
“Welcome to Evil Week, our annual chance to delve into all the slightly sketchy hacks we’d usually refrain from recommending. Want to weasel your way into free drinks, play elaborate mind games, or, er, launder some money? We’ve got all the info you need to successfully be unsavory.”
Ohtani has been awesome, but I’ve seen the fickle nature of the public’s affection for a cool dog from outer space being added to an iconic cat-mouse duo before.
Yea, if only Pujols hadn’t stopped being 2001 McGuire circue 2013
That’s what I’m afraid of. He already had some elbow issues. I’ve seen some mlb writers treat his arm as a ticking time bomb. He also bats with his pitching arm exposed. It’s not a recipe for long term success, but it’s been fun as hell to watch, so far.
The part of your comment I have the most trouble believing is that anyone was watching the Padres game.
The first time Ohtani tweaks a quad or something during BP and misses a few starts that’ll be the end of the trend.
If he gets lit up in two weeks and everyone starts saying he sucks, bloggers like you will be celebrating when he dies on his way to his home planet.
Tickets to today’s game were about 3 times the normal price. It was worth 10 times what I paid. Dude is so good and put on a show.
My goodness I love him
I feel like if you’re even remotely a sports fan, you must tune in to watch Shohei Ohtani. What he is doing so far…
Not to be that guy, but this article reeks of someone who never actually played baseball. That’s Hosmer’s ball for all the reasons you outlined. The only acceptable pop-up for a pitcher is if no one else can get to it like that awesome Eddie Guardado catch in foul territory.
It’s embarrassing that a sprots website would publish a post that suggests that it may have possibly have been anyone BUT Hosmer’s ball.
“I’m not sure what Hosmer means by ‘turn around.’ I guess Ellis wouldn’t want to be facing away from home plate when he made the catch?”
