You know what? I like this Jim guy. I was expecting an article showing maybe one or two driveable cars and a field full of trash but they all seem well cared for. He seems like a stand up guy who knows what he likes, then pursues it. Be like Jim.

What is it about pickup trucks that makes them get the same gas mileage regardless of setup? I had a 2003 5.3 that got the same mileage as this, 15 city, 18-21 hwy. My ‘07 5.3 was the same, maybe slightly better on the highway.
Sunday morning, minutes before setting of for a long road trip, I discovered some dirt on the rear view mirror. No problem, I pop it off the little ball joint and clean it thoroughly. I must have put a bit too much pressure on the joint when putting the mirror back on, the entire windscreen shattered. So, no road trip…

I put a 305 TPI throttle body off an 87 Firebird Formula into the dishwasher once. The IAC was a bit... off after that. Probably should have pulled the sensors first. Food tasted funny too, so I probably damaged my long term mortality prospects some too. But hey, it idled finally after that.
