I was gonna say the opposite, that community fixes like these are exactly why I prefer pc releases. Any issues on a console release you gotta just live with, pc usually has a fix to iron out all the kinks.
But if the console version doesn’t have a patch for whatever’s wrong, you’re kind of screwed.
On the whole though, if a game is loved enough, you can bet certain things to be fixed, but on console things can happen that will never be fixed. Think of any franchise, if it’s on PC, it’s probably fixed. You do have rare exceptions like Final Fantasy Type-O, which is completely broken on PC with no signs of it…
This isn’t actually what happened, and there are more than enough reasons to criticise Whedon that we don’t need to misrepresent this scene any further.
Thanks for pointing out the misinterpretation of that scene, something that always bothered me. Lots of other reasons to criticize Whedon’s writing without misrepresentation.
I honestly wonder if Whedon actually truly believed the things he was saying early in his career?
For many, he was an example of what more equitable storytelling might look like, a model for how to create compelling women protagonists who were also very, very fun to watch.
Curious what kind of clusterfuck behind the scenes must have happened to result in this situation. Fully expecting tales of massive assholery to come out some time in the future.
I look forward to Jason Schreier eventually finding out what the hell went wrong
D4 needs to stand on it’s own and given that one of the pillars of Diablo is what to work making a build towards so you can make insane numbers pop and find that missing gear to complete your build, I hope that Blizz realizes that even more then the latest WoW ex-pack that D4 needs a hook and solid loop at endgame…
Maybe the severed ears signify how Blizzard Activision is deaf to the cries of China’s human rights victims.
It’s not even just “anti-SJW”.
“Not that they endorse anything that I’ve said, of course, but at least they seem more concerned with making good games than with pushing some kind of a social justice agenda, so there is hope.”
Came here to post this.
I mean, NONE of these games were ever arcade games. It looks like they’re using the SNES versions of all 3 (there was a PC version of Blackthorne that had blood [and a 32X port by Paradox that redid some of the graphics and replaced them with awful 90s pre-rendered sprites]).
Rock N Roll racing…
Yeah, sadly the Blizzard I grew up with from the 90's isn’t the Blizzard we know anymore. Warcraft III remaster was a perfect example of their complete and utter lack of quality control and the old mentality of it’s done when it’s done gets swept under the rug pretty quickly once you’re part of a publicly traded…
I know Blizzard has a pretty massive user base with Overwatch, WoW and everything else, but they’re starting to feel like a mere shadow of their former selves.
I’d be cautious about any excitement for it after how badly they screwed up Warcraft 3 remaster. Wait for release, reviews and community feedback. Warcraft 3 remaster was (and is still) a huge disaster (and blizz has abandoned it, no longer getting support)
I think you might be confusing Chun-Li with King from Tekken. Chun-Li was in Soul Calibur.
I’m glad you updated. Chun Li is from Tekken 3 for those wondering.
