Seems Elon is wrong here. It just doesn’t land as strongly when you add in all your crybaby crap. I mean... these are the ashes of Gawker are they not?

Someone will be building the first quantum one’s and we probably won’t know about it.

I’ll google it right now.

You have to be miserable to spend time with.

BURN #2!!!!!

Burn.... but that is a bummer. I can’t stop listening to some of them. If you’re a science guy “Lex Friedman Podcast”. Just find a guest you know.

But how in God’s name do you defend that from attack? I assume it would be a significant military target. I mean an aircraft carrier is about 13 Billion, but that thing, I would assume, is much smaller, has guns, and moves.

All true, but you could also build a robot that takes all of human knowledge, and spits out instantaneous results that could potentially solve all the problems you are describing.

You’re not wrong, but your focusing on the labor stuff. It also feels like we have a little bias, but let me say that labor or “productivity” is definitely a potential upside for this kind of investment. But, if I was working at Microsoft, I would think that would be supplementary to the real goal.

This comment is what I was looking for.  Tho, my business brain tells me they probably have taken that into consideration.  If not, then they are very dumb.

bahaha, excellent response even if he’s trolling.

Can’t be sure, but this is an excellent single sentence troll job.

Nope. This was my initial thought as well. Great name.

Definitely not worth saving. Reboot required. Tho that trench warfare scene was pretty sick.

I got addicted to watching Sam Altman interviews leading up to this AI boom. He definitely makes me nervous. I once watched one about him and Elon (I know most hate him here) and Sam essentially makes arguments for the fact he believes we are just the creators of tech that will make humans unnecessary. Essentially,

So... I hear what you’re saying, and it does feel like that, but you’re focusing on the big boys. Greed is the greatest risk of capitalism, certainly.

‘We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive!’ Today we celebrate our Independence Day!”

hahaha, I immediately scrolled back up.  I think it’s actually one of those shirts you’d see on a loser 40 year old in vegas.  Like the Tommy Bahama shirts but for Long Islanders.

I usually like to take the opposing views here, but I don’t think there’s even a crack in this argument.

Valid point. I wonder if the reasoning is to just show citizens that they “Caught the guy”?
