Yep, in the UK I watched it as a rental from the video store. I would kinda like to watch it again just to see what context I missed as a child. I don’t remember it being any good that’s for sure.

Nostradamus predicted this.

I love the idea, the concept and even the looks. Having driven one (and many, may ForTwos) that gearbox is just awful to live with day to day.

I have owned many Peugeot’s and the 205 GTi was one of my favourites to get the rear wheel off the ground. I will grant you they used to be good, 106, 205 and even the 306. You cannot tell me they are any good since then. Despite what Evo and Car magazine will tell you.

A Peugeot? The blandest of Euro carmakers and you would fit it in above VW? Compare it to Alfa? Go home.

Surprisingly I liked this show, and weirdly my wife did even though she has no interest in sports or cars.

I knew this merger was Ghosn to happen.

If you think about it, it is totally logical. Why have a trunk and hood that takes up half the airspace of the passenger compartment? Vans make use of all the real estate of the footprint of your vehicle.

Or GM, or Ford to name a few more.

I kind of disagree with this comment, when it launched nobody cared about the reliability issues as it just wasn’t an issue to the now new consumer. I lived in the UK at the time and could not count the number of people that actually test drove these things the hype was so good. The ratio of people who bought them was

I agree, which makes it more painful. GM’s history is paved with innovation, if only they had the courage of their conviction.

The Smart was such a missed opportunity. It was conceived with Swatch (the watch company), and they wanted to have an electric version from the start. This is why the original and the A-Class initially had a sandwich floor to potentially house batteries in the future. When MB gave up on the whole electrification thing

They should just update this:

That is weird as you would imagine that the whole badge is applied as one on a single backing for placement. Love it though.

It sounds very hipsterish but making it mandatory that if you list on an exchange a certain amount of stock has to be ringfenced and distributed to employees (maybe 20%). At least then they would have a say at board level and the ability to take advantage of any increases in company value.

I honestly think the guy posting this ad is a massive troll. Almost $6k for a less than perfect Camry with $200k miles? I don’t know where to start here.

I love Doug and I think he reviews and looks at cars almost the same way as me. I do wish he would stop saying the word, cool’ though. Once you pick up on it you realise he says it so many times in each video.

This is SOOO much better and probably makes it more practical in that third row. It also seems that an abrupt Kamm Tail is better for aerodynamics. At least if Prii and Insights are anything to go by.

Tesla really needs to up their design game. The Y looks just like a jacked up 3, which I guess is what it is.

I think I have two best experiences to share which is rare compared to most of my other purchases:
