But that’s literally the whole point of the X-Men. Which is why I think they work much better in their own isolated universe.

I now fully expect a “secret wars” style combining of two worlds from an incursion to pull mutants into the MCU (like how they brought Miles into the comic universe). I’m not sure if it’s going to work that well, but I also think bringing mutants into the MCU will make it overstuffed anyway.

I do wish the trailer had leaned a little more into the originals music, which I think is just second to none.

I think it would be worth it for Netflix to make a “Netflix games” app that just has the games library (still have the games in the main app too, just make a games focused app). They have some of the best software developers in the industry, they could write that app in a week.

That’s all because of apple.  You really shouldn’t blame netflix for that.

And considering the hardware on paper is about 20x more powerful!

Christ, if someone clicks on the comments from for a video DO NOT AUTO ADVANCE TO THE NEXT VIDEO. You children have no idea of how to build a website.

As long as they stay extremely true to the original I have no problem with it. It’s just another medium to see the story. I love the cartoon and I’ll be equally happy with a retelling in live action. I’ll rewatch both.

Has it been verified that it will be a shot for shot remake? I’m actually a fan of that approach for this.  There are a few one-off episodes that you could chuck, but in my opinion, the show was pretty much perfect.  And I’d be really happy just reliving the joy of watching the show perfectly remade in live action.

Hiddlestone is amazing, I wish he had been given this kind of material in the movies.

Massive fan of their work. My feeling is that really matured as writers with Nemesis Games (The book where they are split up and Amos is on Earth). I liked the story up until then, but with the fifth book onward, I really enjoyed just the writing itself. I’d love to ask them if they felt that they become more

io9 was such a great blog.  I was really hoping at some point G/O media would sell it off and it could find it’s way back in the hands of the old guard with a decent commenting system.

That interview was quiet a watch. I had never heard of the host of Squawk Box that was attacking Ben Mezrich and defending Musk.  In the minute I spent googling him to find out who he was, I found out that Joe Kernan (the host of Squawk Box) is also a prominent George Santos fan!

WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME ABOUT A BOOK I CAN’T READ FOR ALMOST A YEAR?!?!?!?!

One of my favorite campy movies is The Core. Everyone in The Core is better than the movie deserves, they know it, you know it, and they play it in a way that it’s still a lot of fun. Brie Larson gives me this vibe that she feels like she’s better than the MCU movies, but she’s looking down on me for having fun. I

Keeping all the Ant-Man movies as low-key fairly humorous heist movies would have been a better move. A mostly normal guy playing the part behind the scenes moving some pieces around under the eyes of gods is nice open space to inhabit in the MCU.

I’m also judging the first trailer as a failure primarily by how different this trailer is. I mean, these seem like completely different movies.

I almost wonder if the reaction to the first trailer was so bad that it led to them actually editing the film itself.

The difference in tone from the first tailer is incredible. Some serious backpedaling from the PR feedback over the past few months.  You can feel Disney scrambling about what audiences want. I have no idea what the final movie is actually going to be like.

If Tiktok is an option, that’s all that really matters at this point.
