He could definitely get a jokey supporting actor nod.  It would be a good way to bring in Barbie jokes through out the show.

You have to put yourself in the shoes of self important Oscar voters. Cillian Murphy is a lock because the Oscar voters will all want to pump up the “Serious” movie that competed against Barbie.

One reshoot is standard practice. Multiple reshoots with large changes in the script is a very bad sign.

It will never happen, but I’ve always felt like the X-Men work better as a story in isolation.  In a world filled with other super heroes, a lot of what it really interesting about them is gone.

Scarlet Witches turn in Multiverse of Madness makes zero sense if you haven’t watched Wandavision. And while this is partially colored by my absolute love for the Loki show, I think it is also essential. The other stuff - you’re probably right.

Hiddleston’s time left in the MCU is probably measurable in low single-digit hours at this point. I think it’s fine for him to end as a good guy.

As long as we can all agree that JMS is the worst Spider-Man writer in the history of the comic, that’s all I care about.

Just to clarify, what’s so great about Best of Both Worlds is that it’s really a story about Riker. Stewart has a few great moments - “Turn the page” is one of my favorite Star Trek lines of all time. But Jonathan Frakes is the real star of those two episodes, and he gives a great performance.

I didn’t read any of the nominees this year (I read a lot of sci-fi, but it all skews at least a few years behind the awards), but I heard that this years entire crop was particularly weak.

I’m fine with just accepting that it’s a work of fiction played by different actors every few years too, but it would be really fun to have a 60s era Bond and modern Bond “connected” through some case. And over the years there have been a group of people pushing the “code name” idea.
