Yes, but if a future Star Wars movie happens to have a 3 part lightsaber, you’d have to prove that the actual screenplay writers saw your work. This reminds me a lot of the failed B5 lawsuit against DS9 which was much much stronger.
I’m actually shocked this whole thing is getting as much press as it is. It’s not going to amount to anything.
I’m not sure how I feel about Legacy, but I know Paramount will be kicking themselves if they choose Starfleet academy over it. That show already seems like a stinker just from the premise. And if they make is a soft continuation of Discovery, forget about it.
I agree, I would have been happy keeping the ship The Titan and then there would have been an obvious name for the new show.
The less we talk about season 2 the better. It’s pretty obvious that at some point halfway through season 2 the contracts for the whole original cast came together for season 3 and the writing staff literally just gave up. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that some intern actually wrote the back half of season 2.
The levity throughout the season was just great. I really enjoyed it.
Great list. The only thing I disagree with is “I want more.” I think they ended on a good note. Let’s leave it here, where everyone can agree they stuck the landing.
What a colossally hilarious FU it would be to do all this build up and have Jackman in the movie for 90 seconds. The nerd tears would float the Ark.
I think it just means mobile and PC. Honestly, as someone that works in the industry, it feels like consoles are in the decline right now. This gen doesn’t seem to have the same kind of broad appeal as last gen, and it feels like the bulk of your potential customers will still get to you through PC right now.
At this point the whole goal is just to hurt Disney to satisfy the blood-lust of his base. He no longer cares about the economic damage it might do to the state.
As I said above, the real problem is that he is not increasing the number of inspectors. So the smaller parks, where those inspectors do actually prevent some injuries, are going to get inspected even less often now. All so the inspectors can go harass the highly competent and well paid internal inspectors that work…
The real damage is that DeSantis is not going to increase the number of inspectors. So the smaller parks, where those inspectors were actually keeping people safer, are now going to be more dangerous. Just so he can send an army of inspectors to harass Disney employees and reduce the capacity of the park.
The wormhole aliens ended the war by destroying the Founders fleet. If they hadn’t the changelings would have occupied the federation and committed genocide on all the federation planets in retaliation for section 31 killing them off with the disease. If anything section 31 would have escalated the conflict if the…
I have no idea what humanity might be like after a couple generations of true post-scarcity. I don’t think anyone can honestly say what would happen (including us all drugging ourselves to death from boredom / ennui - which I could also totally believe).
It’s better to think of Section 31 as basically a soft military coup inside Star Fleet. It is absolutely not a good thing. And Starfleet intelligence can functionally do everything section 31 can do while also obeying the chain of command and the civilian authority.
Very well said!
Starfleet had Starfleet intelligence. Section 31 goes beyond that. People make the mistake of thinking that because Star Fleet and the Federation has a strong military code that means they are ineffective and can’t be duplicitous toward it’s enemies. That’s not true at all.
It’s all a characteristic of bad writers thinking darker is better. Pretty obvious really.
This is a good face saving measure for everyone involved.
