That’s the fundamental problem with twitter, if it increases ads, it will lose engagement. Trust me, people at twitter have a/b tested this stuff into oblivion. The amount of ads you see at Twitter is definitely the most they can show without people spending less time there.

Twitter stock is an absolute joke in the investment world. You get better interest putting you cash in your mattress. I could see many people just wanting to wash their hands of the whole endeavor.

I don’t think there is a lot more monetization opportunity. If he starts increasing the number of ads, engagement will drop and he will probably make less money.
The one space where he does have an opportunity is to reduce the absolutely ridiculous operating costs (they have 7,500 employees - 3,000 engineers!). Twitter…

If he joined the board, he could never do this legally (board member have a lot of restrictions on trading they can do). I don’t think it was because of background checks. I think his plan was always to buy the whole company (or enough shares to control it).

Twitter is one of the most anemic stocks in the entire tech industry. It is actually a joke at this point among finance people.

While I am not sure how you could improve the monetization of Twitter, they do have absolutely shameful operating costs. You could run twitter for probably 1/20th of the current operating cost without a single discernable change. They have grossly mismanaged the company for years. Many of the cast are getting ready to retire at this point, so I’m sure they starting filming season 5 immediately after 4 wrapped.

I am really convinced at this point that the movie studios have figured out a way to buy tickets to their own movies to pump up their numbers. I do not believe for a second that Morbius made more than $15 million last week.

Pretty shocking that they spent three hours applying a quarter inch layer of latex to his face when a 5 minute face paint would have been just as good.

There were some practical reasons why the Disco make up was a problem (The prosthetics where so thick and covering that is was nearly impossible for the actors to convey facial expressions).
