I just wanted to say, I’ve really enjoyed your writing and strongly agree with you about how foolish it is for many companies to continue (or sometimes even start up) in unaffordable cities.

I know it’s considered a no-no to say were you are going next, but I am always curious when people leave. So I whole-heartily support the idea of a friend immediately posting where someone is working next in goodbyes! Let this be the start of a tradition!
Nothing is harder to write than comedy. It’s not even close. This new film looks like it is going straight action/drama so its about 100 times easier to pull off.
I think the universal consensus is HIMYM would have been a show up there with Cheers and Taxi if it had been 5 seasons.
I think the message that by Ted doing a really selfless act of helping Robin and Barney get married, he ends up finding happiness is a great ending.
If I had to guess I’d go with Water Polo. Incredibly taxing activity in isolation and you are physically competing with other people that are Olympic class competitors so it’s constant reacting to different situations. And it’s more than 30 minutes long.
Every day I am so thankful for the great game companies I have worked at with absolutely no tolerance for any of this poisonous crap toward women.
I would suggest that even Unbreakable is just an okay movie. It is the goodwill that people felt toward Shyamalan (and Willis’ great acting) that makes people think it is better. In isolation it is a pretty slow moving movie.
It has been left to rot for years. They could install a good comment system for free in a week.
Harrison Ford is 80. The whole thing is ridiculous.
I know, money, but I think the MCU should have just ended after Endgame (plus a LOTR style half-hour teary epilogue to wrap everything up).
The original audiobook of The Martian is a great example of this (Not the Wil Wheaton narration). The narration is soooo good, it makes and excellent book even better.
I’m very excited, but I’m going to hold off until the second half is green lit.
I come in peace (A terrible movie) had a notion that our brain created a hormone that was an incredible drug for another race.
None of that is in the books at all. The word “cloning” is not present in the entire series (original, Edge/Earth books, or the prelude novels).
Honestly that’s how I would do the show. Intersperse Seldon on Trantor with the first book and the first half of book two. Then spend a whole season on The Mule and an extended Season on the two stories on Second Foundation.
The cloning thing is completely out of left field and changes it from “Based on” to “Very loosely based on”
The second half of book 2 and book three are strong singular stories. Each could be a season of TV. If I were running the show I’d intersperse Prelude to Foundation with the short stories of book 1 and 2 over two seasons. Then tell the second half of book 2 and book 3 as two more seasons. That way you could keep…
I actually think Foundation’s Edge is very good and fleshes out a lot of interesting questions about what will happen after the plan (almost none of which are a good outcome). Foundation and Earth, not so much. Prelude to Foundation is an excellent idea for a book, but it didn’t pull it off. And Forward The Foundation …
I firmly believe this would have looked better if it was film on an iphone.
