Totally disagree. The reason I’m not a Dr Who fan is because without a larger cast you miss a huge part of a scripted show, developing long term relationships between characters in a team. It’s also why I’m not a fan of the new Star Trek.

This is not true for a vast majority of the people that work in the games industry. I hire plenty of game engineers and I could give one shit about their social profile. And it’s the same for art. No one ever in the history of game making has said, “That guy can’t draw, but he’s got 500,000 twitter followers!”

I was a little older, but I also feel that the music gives it away. It is not the glorious music from earlier space battles, its is an almost melancholy track that emphasizes how horrible it is that they are fighting.

When you see him in behind the scenes stuff on the set, he is a consummate professional. It’s not hard to understand why his movies are so good. He takes this shit seriously, he has a ton of experience, he listens to everyone on the crew and he puts in 110%. If I were in the movie field I would be honored to work with

I can’t tell you how fucking amazing it was for Richard Dawson to be in this movie. After watching him for years on family feud every Sunday night while eating dinner with my parents, it was beyond awesome!

We really need a remake of The Stuff. I remember what a sensation it was when it came out. Such Schlock! Every 12 yo boy in the country was laughing their ass of at that movie.

They view him as their Darth Vader.

I really agree, a used machine is the way to go if you have serious budget constraints.  There are even some charity pc shops that will make sure you don’t get a lemon.  And if you feel one ounce of guilt or shame about it, don’t.  Helping anyone get through college more then pays for itself, we’re the one’s getting

You should add the definition to the article.  I had the same question.  Otherwise, very good.

My problem with Smith at this point is I don’t trust his opinions. He seems far too likely to get excited about things if there is some way it could benefit him. For example, he was super excited about the DC movies and talking about how great they were while at the same time trying to write or direct one of them. I mu

Interesting, this is actually how first edition dungeons and dragons was suppose to be. A normal human had 1d4 hp, a player had more, but really only the last 10 or so hit points were suppose to be real damage (the player was slightly tougher then a normal human), the rest were “glancing blows”, “near misses”, etc...

It’s pure mental masturbation. Most excellent coders want to write their own language when they are in college - then they grow up. I’m frankly shocked that an adult would waste their time. If he really wanted to improve coding productivity they are many far more effective ways to do it that might have a non-zero

You’re right, coal is dying. No one with an ounce of business sense will invest in coal any more. And a ton of major international insurance companies have just decided that not only will they not insurance coal companies any more, they won’t even insure companies that get more then 30% of their energy from coal

There was a great story about the practical effects in Jurassic park where one of the crew was saying it would be the last great practical effects movie, because half the crew was retiring after the movie was done (and a bunch came out of retirement to help make it).  They all knew computer effects were the future and

In the US he still would have gotten shot the second he tried to stand back up. If he was black they would have shot him the second they walked in the store, regardless of whether he had anything to do with the crime.

Back to the Future and T2 are both excellent movies. T2's “liquid metal guy” was a leap in special effects that no one under 40 can ever appreciate. The only thing even close was Roger Rabbit and Jurassic Park, but T2 effects wins.

You seriously loved the casino planet part of the movie? You might be the only person I’ve ever met that loved the casino planet.

I think the whole show would have been better if they just focused on Maeve. She wasn’t special, just a small series of mistakes makes her start to understand what’s happening to her, until eventually she tricks her way into the repair shop and gets her code rewritten. It would have been a much more straightforward

Why not just say she writes a blog for a living and hopes to turn it into a book, no shame in that!

I have a feeling after the Venom movie, Sony isn’t going to want to have anything to do with the franchise again.
