Maybe, but I could see things getting so bad that he’s afraid of a coup. He might be in a “war if I nuke”, “strung up by my own people if I don’t” situation. I could see a situation where he actually thinks he has a better chance of surviving by attacking.

My guess is that it’s a situation where Thanos wants to talk to Tony so he freezes everything but Tony and himself. My guess is that this is going to be shortly after Thanos has the time gem and he’s using it.

I like the show, but as I’ve said before, it is the definition of self-indulgent. Fuller was so powerful when the show was made that they let him get away with EVERYTHING. It’s just like Martin and the Game of Thrones books, no one can even edit him at this point.
