we are a third world country. just one with a lot of money. we lack alot of basic services real world leading countries have.  all we have is a large military and a large slave labor force we incarcerated for that purpose.

Having grown up in a 3rd world country, that’s insulting to 3rd world countries (I’m mostly kidding)! What I’ve mostly experienced are cops trying to make a few extra bucks by being overzealous with their policing and then hoping for a small bribe to make it go away. That’s peanuts compared this - a full on profit

According to the article, she wasn’t even flashing her headlights. She just turned them on when it got dark and they pulled her over.

God, when Missouri is ahead of you in ... well anything you are seriously failing

Missouri closed this loophole a few years ago. SB5 states:

This pretty much says it all. Remember, this is a town with fewer than 1,500 residents.

When the survival of a municipality depends on pilfering its own citizens through traffic stops, code violations and the like, it is a sign that it is time to fold operations become unincorporated. I’d be willing to bet the majority of the budget goes to paying salaries and there are crumbs left for anything else.

Option A: vote him out

Sounds like a 3rd world country.

Well, the Supreme Court has already decided that flashing headlights is covered by the First Amendment. I hope that can get sorted pretty quickly. Otherwise, I hope they get disincorporated and some people in power go to jail like in that speed trap town in Ohio.

Okay, but when 90% of all Oil goes to transport fuels, and only a small amount of NatGas goes to non-power generating products.

But you also need to face the facts that 80+ percent of the population doesn’t live out in the wheat fields, corn fields or dairy country.

Neutral: Don’t buy almond milk people. It’s a horrendous waste of water. It takes over one gallon of water to grow one almond. Over 100 gallons of water is used to make one serving of almond milk. That’s ridiculous.

Raph and facts never go together. Are you new here?

I can’t believe I’m still saying this, but EVs are better for the environment than gasoline. It’s heavily studied and well-established. https://www.epa.gov/greenvehicles/electric-vehicle-myths

range is going to be a non-issue eventually. battery density is improving with every year and range along with it. I would not be surprised if we see a car with a 1000 mile range option for sale within the next 5 years.

similarly electrical infrastructure needs to change and has been with the push for renewables. Wind

Wheat country is actually a pretty good supplier of all that needed green energy. Smart farmers would be building in free charging in exchange for windmill placement. Put in a few batteries and poof, your fuel bills just disappeared.

That last statement isn’t correct. Germany isn’t replacing nuclear with coal. They are choosing to phase out both. It’s just that nuclear’s timeline is shorter. There will be no increase in coal to make up for the loss of nuclear. 76 of their 84 existing coal plants are scheduled to close by 2030.

None of these people have principles or well thought out positions.  They’re just assholes.

Meth fueled, coke is only for executive use. That’s why the Executive Washroom is always locked.
