Translation: We couldn’t get/didn’t want to pay for crash certification.

Tesla reported global deliveries, or completed retail sales, of 936,172 vehicles...

Fair question. First, just measured it on google maps, and it was about 1500' as the crow flies door to door, so even though we lived a half block from the parking lot it was a bit more in reality. Other factors:

You understand that states can only be stricter than federal laws, not laxer, right?

Ok, story time....

Agreed. If the emergency crews could not get people off the highway for 15 hours, what makes them think they can magically trample through all of the wooded area within a one mile radius of his car to find a potentially lost person.

This weekend, I went out hiking in the mountains and the road to the trailhead was bad. On the way out, there was a family in a current gen Jeep Cherokee that was badly stuck. The driver had used the all speed, no brains approach and gotten high centered. I towed them out and followed them back to plowed pavement.

And if you are silly enough to walk it, walk on roads, not wander into the fucking woods where all kinds of danger awaits you.

I don’t see how this is the county’s fault. It’s pretty basic knowledge that you don’t leave your vehicle in a snowstorm. Sounds like the family is lashing out because they don’t want to recognize their son/brother made a poor choice. Sad stuff for sure

1st Gear: And it’s shit like that that GM has pulled over the years and continues to pull that would make me prefer a Tesla over any GM BEV unless I got it for next to nothing used. The only GM car I ever owned was a 2000 Saab 9-3... and that was a quasi-GM car at best.

It does show the hypocrisy of the republican party though. They are all STATES RIGHTS until California wants different emissions standards or a mask mandate. But if a state wants to enforce their own abortion laws (in spite of federal law) like Texas, states rights are great.

I don’t know what libel law looks like in the US, but that blog post on the company website looks to be more than enough to warrant suing for libel.

Lol, I actually have dashcam video of a dealership’s car wash employee getting in my car, then there’s audio where you clearly hear him open the center armrest, unzip my coin purse and take some coins out...

I’m selling my VW wagon (Alltrack) to Carvana tonight for stupid money. Bought an 09 jetta w/ 41k orig miles for $4500 instead. Maybe a year, maybe two, we’ll see how it goes.

That’s what makes it really exciting to drive though...

I had a dealer try to upsell me. With a straight face, I responded that I preferred a 78% blend. He told me they couldn’t do that.

Friend that got wiped out by a brodozer in his newish VW wagon went and bought a near mint PT Cruiser to tide them and family over until sanity returns.

While the manufacturer doesn’t really have a say over dealer markup, they should worry about it. Dealers are the manufacturer’s representatives to the public. Bad dealers will cost that manufacturer sales. A dealer who is constantly pegged as sleazy, not the one off issues like with the Bronco, should have their

They do. It’s call allocation. When the Hellcat was released (and later the Demon) and dealers were trying to mark them up, Dodge told them that they would lose their allocations if they were caught doing it. They had a choice to either sell one at a large markup and never get one again, or play ball, sell it at MSRP,

I’m sorry- If I needed a car right now- I’d buy the cheapest thing available at/about MSRP- regardless of if I want it or not. Don’t be stupid and overpay.
