Bought a CX-5, paid extra for Soul Red. I love it so much.

Imagine paying $70K+ for a Mercedes SUV built in Alabama by people making $12 /hr.

And here in Alberta it’s at least a .10c premium or so

Can I just say, I just picked up my CX-5 with the 2.5T last Friday and it’s a fucking delight - great interior and build quality, engine has yet to leave me wanting and handles like a champ. Huge kudos to Mazda - I knew I made the right choice.

$40K for a Rav? What’s going to prevent folks from buying a Highlander over this, because, as the car buying public believe, bigger = better.

The base engine will still be dangerously slow and the CVT will still be awful.

I’ve always liked these, I think they’re handsome every time I see one. Pity the backseat is tight for most applications.

Is it sad the interior looks to be made of better quality plastics than my 2012 Impreza?

No seats on a plane should recline. Business/First class yes, but coach? fuck no.

Yes, plus the wife has a golf so I didn’t want to repeat - it honestly didn’t do anything for me. Plus it’s not rated for towing, which was no bueno.

Funny enough this is my solution too, pulling the trigger this weekend. Have you found any limitations to this approach yet?

V60 Polestar wagon (pre-redesign) could be had under budget all day long, and it’s available in the greatest shade of blue known to man.

I’m moving from an Impreza to a CX-5 because it’s the only family hauler this Jalop could stomach, the rest were dull as dishwater. They’re this enthusiasts choice.

The most surprising entry to me was the Santa Fe. That’s a mainstream, mid-sized crossover that’s well priced. Those should last a month tops. Should be a warning sign for Hyundai.

It works well, and the voice control is really accurate. Shame it kind of looks like shit from a graphics interface standpoint.

I have an Impreza. Someone is buying it from me on Wednesday and I’ll be back at the Mazda dealer on the weekend to purchase one of their products. For cars that are supposedly in the same segment, Mazda’s run circles around Subaru’s in fit and finish and driving experience.

Pretty sure it’s coming to the 6 - there were some emissions certification docs that confirmed it IIRC.

Checked these cars out over the weekend. They are very, very good inside and out.

This is the worst. Especially since they act like they’re doing me a favor. Last time at least they stuck to their guns and gave me the Chrysler 300S - too bad it was RWD in the dead of winter on A/S tires.

Truth. I think when MotorTrend put the new CX-5 head to head with the Lexus NX the Mazda was quieter.
