These shots were taken when Opel was shooting a promo for the Grand Tourer, which this car is, in Los Angeles - a car that has been released and you can find reviews for online now. Trust me, USA is only getting the lifted/cladded version.

I’m still baffled they aren’t offering this thing in Canada - Sportback only (which I’m very interested in, the GS natch)

Slap a tri-star or BMW shield on it and it doesn’t matter what the rest look like to most.

Fucking A+ headline.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s (FCAU.N) Ram and U.S. automaker Ford Motor Co’s (F.N) namesake brand shared the fourth position.

Grandparents had a Delta 88 sedan - NP all the way for nostalgia.

I drive Calgary to Winnipeg probably 2-3x’s a year and I ONLY do it one shot - why prolong the suffering? One day, two, maybe three stops if I have a passenger, but if I’m riding solo, it’s one stop for gas half way and that’s it.

A little late, but my dad is a ‘drive it until the wheels fall off’ kinda guy. As a result, my first car was a hand-me-down 1987 Plymouth Reliant K with a 5MT that he bought new - that went to the junker just a few years ago after I retired it to the farm. - total service life 26 years.

Ah gotcha - I must have been thinking of the Jalopnik Special 3 that wasn’t available to us up here. Still a piss off.

Yeah! Also, I just double checked and it has more cargo capacity than the A7 as well - it just does so many things right (saving them ditching the stick on the Regal in 2015.)

Yep and I’m almost certain in Canada there’s no more MT’s in anything but the 1, 2 and M series.

I fucking love that Regal. I’m going to buy me this Regal. I’ve crunched the numbers:

I reckon this is because they’re comparing the outgoing XC60 (2017) to the new-styled XC90 (after 2015/6) - the XC90 has Thor’s Hammer, the old XC60 doesn’t, but will on the redesigned model.

So how many NA V6's can you still find outside of a crossover or truck or sports car?

I’ve shoe’d many a drinks in my day, but never after winning a road race. Going to put that on my list.

2nd Gear: Is it any wonder why new cars are so expensive now? They fill them with non-deletable technology like this then bake the price of it in to the MSRP - it’s not like they’re throwing it in out of the goodness of their hearts.

Oh I forgot about the stinger! It’s also on my list - it launched in S.Korea and demand is high, still waiting for solid reviews on it though.

So as a guy interested in this new wave of sportbacks, how are the Regal GS, A5, 4-Series Gran Coupe and the Arteon going to stack up? (Jag XE too I guess)

I’ve seen lots further west here in Calgary - almost a weekly occurrence - i typically see an S/T daily.

My 2012 Impreza got that memo too.
