We used to load up an early 90's Caravan with 8 drunks and launch it off a large dip near our house, there was air had.

I can empathize because where I live, even with an ongoing recession here, there are still a ton of folks with the latest german luxobadge on the road - I’d be shocked if they were paying any less per month to keep these cars than this guy, but this is a very new-money, image-based town.

I will not be denied a Regal Wagon.

Yep - that’s my home province, big news there, naturally.

None of the above. Opt for the car mostly likely to get you laid. You’ve got at least 10 years before you need to be practical. Get a Camaro to lay down sweet burnouts, unless you want something with a big enough back seat, for you know..

perceived brand cachet?

Last gen Volvos depreciate laughably fast though. I’m pondering picking up a 2015 V60 R-Design with 35,000KM on the clock for something like $20K less than it sold new. Maybe these ones will take a similar dive, from where I sit, there sure a lot of XC90's on the road right now, so there shouldn’t be a supply problem

if it’s anything like where I live, used Toureg’s are still laughably expensive. I saw a 2013 i think it was with 80,000 Km’s trying to sell for $50,000.

T6 R-Design with Polestar package in that sweet icy blue metallic colour they’ve got.

I looked this up after your comment, and holy shit I would pay handsomely for that estate.

I remember reading that the wagon was going to come as a TourX with a raised ride height and shitty plastic cladding. I really hope that’s not the case, or if so, they offer both soft-road wagon and real wagon variants.

Also, i believe they are now a top 5 in reliability, which can’t be a bad thing for the badge.

This is one hot wagon. Will likely be strong competition to the Volvo V90 at a price point that’s thousands less.

Lowest gasoline demand since 2012?

One could argue that Honda doesn’t even really advertise currently: the only ads I see basically carries the message: “this is a Honda, you should buy one” without speaking to any of the features that make it different from say, a Toyota. Not like they’re breaking new ground over there - and they don’t have to, it’s

I like the predator grille in this application, doesn’t look nearly as gaudy.

Seeing as Canada is typically about 1-3 years behind US trends, I’d reckon we’re crushing the sales because everyone is trading in their cars for shitty CUV’s?

Yeah, aside from a few posts on swedespeed, there hasn’t been much info on the 60 SPA, other than the XC60 of course, which promises to be a volume seller for them. Still, anytime we get a look at any new Volvo is a good day as far as I’m concerned.

There haven’t been any leaks like the XC 60 which will debut at Geneva in March, but that should give us an idea of where it’s headed.
