I'm a little perturbed at the implication that Steven and all the Rubies cleared the moon's gravity to easily, but Steven Universe has always been more fantasy than science fiction, so I can let it slide.

Upon rewatching "Beta", Peridot said the Beta Kindergarten was built halfway through the rebellion. It was when things were starting to turn against Homeworld.

I think she means about Steven getting blasted out an airlock, Battlestar Galactica style. He's right to be wary of the missions he goes on.

Somewhere, Superman sheds a single tear.

"We've been sitting here for 11 minutes and none of us have come up with anything better to call him than Smashy-Smashy Egg Cat"

Love me some Ruby shenanigans, Eyeball is probably my favorite of the bunch. Having rewatched "Hit the Diamond" recently, I noticed she was throwing around a lot of pained side glances. There's something up with her, and it makes sense that she'd be older than the other Rubies. I figured that black sphere would

Garnet did join the CGs only after Blue Diamond had established a base on Earth. Presumably if Pink Diamond were still alive, they wouldn't need another Diamond there to maintain order.

There's also the possibility that Homeworld claimed that Rose killed Pink Diamond to cover up for the fact that one of their invincible, unquestionable leaders turned against her fellows. It would be an effective motivator, especially for a soldier as loyal as Jasper. It's looking increasingly unlikely at this stage

A good point, though I would equally love it if she intentionally modeled herself after Steven's totally-not-Cloud-we-promise action figure. No one says she has to be good with the sword, only that it should be her weapon of choice.

I would assume that's true, especially after Amethyst played real-life Dark Souls with the Slinker.

I would love it if Peridot ends up using that massive fusion-sized sword once she masters her metalbending powers.

"Well, the good news is that the big planets are all gas giants, so she can't be on there. The bad news is that they have dozens of moons… each."
"Get to work, Navy."

I do recall the Gem from "Beach City Horror Club" looking very diamond-like.

Their combined kinesis powers only work on water with heavy concentrations of minerals, forcing them to move to Jersey to make the most of it.

My only thread of hope for that theory is that, like Rose herself, Homeworld is fond of lying to their underlings. Other than that, I'm about ready to let it lie as well.

"Onwards to Neptune!"
"Wait… did anyone remember to ask the Earthlings which one is Neptune?"

I'm so happy right now. This two parter may have finally surpassed "Mr. Greg" in this block of episodes for me. I was chanting for Steven and Amethyst to fuse all through the speech leading up to it, and yelled loud enough that my neighbors might have heard it when they did. I was on the edge of my seat,

I actually do think Gem weapons represent aspects of themselves. Bismuth implied that the same type of Gem can manifest different weapon types. And Homeworld would never grant a Pearl the ability of summon a weapon, so it can't be part of their individual Gem design.

I like that this episode finally confirms my theory that not every Gem can manifest a weapon. Those that hadn't learned yet were outfitted by Bismuth.

"Mayor Dewey's election campaign against Suitcase Sam (Sean Bean) takes an unexpectedly lethal turn."
