I kind of assumed that gem bubbling was a technique that Rose and the Crystal Gems invented that Homeworld knew nothing of. If they did, they would have no use for something like the prison cells in Peridot's hand ship. Why bother with larger, more complex, and less reliable force fields when bubbles have thus far…

I was hoping to face Rose personally on the battlefield one Gem warrior to another, in respectful combat. Then I will snap her spine.
