As a person who worked at a theater for 4 years, I would like to take this time to point out that PG-13 is not a restrictive rating. You could send a 3 year old to a PG-13 movie alone if you were that terrible of a parent. I've had countless parents and kids come up to me under the impression that their 12 year old

I said the exact same thing to myself as a joke a split second before she did. I love it when a show's writing is exactly in tune with my mindset.

That's one of the gentlest ways you could have learned that lesson. Be grateful.

That episode and this one scared me more than anything else this show has done, for exactly the same reason.

Part of the crew, part of the ship…

You're thinking of giant robots.

Loved the art style for this episode. Adventure Time has done several episodes with deliberate callbacks to old animation styles, and I'm happy to see other shows like SU and Clarence get in on the action. It's a great fit for Ruby and Sapphire's story, since it does have a lot of fairy tale elements to it. Those

Truly a New Day has dawned.

I'm reminded of the anime "Moribito", which had people in court remarkably like Pearls. Whenever events of importance would occur, the lord would order them to lower a veil over their faces to symbolize that they were less than people at that moment. His command to do so directly compared them to empty vessels.

Seeing it again reminds me of the Sam the Sheepdog from the old Looney Tunes cartoons. I would hate to get on that Pearl's bad side, is all I'm saying.

Blue Diamond's court seemed surprised that fusions between non-like gems was even possible. They could have adopted the "fuse for combat only" stance once they realized the tactical advantages of such a fusion.

I'm not 100% up on the current rebellion timeline they outlined, but I think it lasted from 6500 years before present to 5500 years before present. That would put this episode near the end, possibly when Homeworld felt confident enough in their victory to deem stationing a Diamond on Earth as an acceptably low risk.

Given that Rose commands a shield that, as of yet, nothing has been capable of even putting a dent in, Rose losing her physical form in battle seems like it would be an exceedingly rare occurrence.

Great job, Sour Cream.

It shall be a duel of wits, between intellectual equals. Holmes vs. Moriarty. BMO vs MASHY SPIKE PLATE!

Still loving 'Stakes' as well. And from some obscure background information from the episode "Friends Forever", we learned that among the post-Mushroom War perils was a mist that mutated or killed anyone it touched. Simon was immune to its effects, which only deepened other humans' suspicion of him. That could be

Rigby and Eileen hooking up has brought nothing but good. The entire "Ribgy gets his GED" arc has been fantastic.

My best hope is that the Stakes miniseries was aired out of chronological order. In "Bonnie and Neddy", Finn had short hair, while here it was down to his waist at least. There could be a significant amount of time in which more episodes could take place.

It was definitely Marcy's fight, and I don't actually mind that he never landed a solid hit on one of the vampires (except the Vampire King's junk, ouch). It's more in the way the narrative regards them. Certain episodes made it seem like PB and Marcy regarded them as annoyances rather than friends trying to help.
