That did occur to me, but I was too lazy to compare their composition before posting my comment. Perhaps Amethysts are a different class of soldier; the infiltrator to Jasper's heavy infantry, given her extensive use of shapeshifting in combat. I stand by my theory that Amethyst's final composition is non-standard

Peridot forgot to mention that she's a graduate of the Tim Taylor College of Engineering.

I too am a defender of TTG on occasion, but the scheduling has reached ludicrous levels. CN finally has a crop of shows as varied as their old Cartoon Cartoon lineup and half of them have been benched for nonstop TTG episodes.

"You humans are all racist!"

I could have been at a barbeque! With the Pizzas! Not eating because we don't need to do that!

Given that we saw very Jasper-like soldiers that were explicitly not Jasper in "Sworn to the Sword", that's probably true. As for Amethyst, the "overcooked runt" comment makes me think she's a malformed Jasper, one that emerged long after Kindergarten was shut down and subsequently didn't have the kind of monitoring

That Cluster puppet was a riot. Too great.

I'm still hesitant to say that all Gems are created in Kindergartens, if only because it begs the question of who (or what) created the first Gems. Peridot stating that she's a certified Kindergartener also suggests that there's a distinction between "natural" gems and artificially created ones.

The things Peridot was saying were almost word for word the insecurities Pearl espoused in "Friend Ship". As soon as she started on that line of attack, I was afraid Pearl was going to wilt. Haven't seen a single punch that satisfying since "Let's see you grit those teeth!"

She also had an escort, anti-Gem weaponry, and a warship with enough firepower to wipe out the Crystal Gems effortlessly, were it not for Steven's shield. I doubt she was expecting the kind of resistance she encountered.

Or, as a technician, she never had reason to learn to summon a weapon. When sent on a mission with the possibility of danger, Homeworld issued her some power armor with tools and weapons. As I've seen pointed out, in "Friend Ship" she seems completely unfamiliar with how most of her gadgets work. The arm cannon

Sometimes science is more art than science.

Good ol' Steven Universe.

I would correct the spelling, but now I feel like memorializing it for future generations to enjoy.

The subtle detail of rain on Peridot's hand fully justifies the somewhat stilted combat animation. Plus, the fight scene last week more than makes up for it.

That's my take as well. A Gem would retain abilities it has "unlocked" when it belonged to Rose. Since this is the first time in known history that a Gem has been passed from one being to another, this would all be uncharted territory. That also handily explains why Pearl was amazed that Steven's weapon was a

If the show can poke fun at the audience without Ronaldo, does that mean he can go away and never come back?

Dawn of the Second Day.

Hours, at moist.

Mayhaps they're pinching their pennies in preparation for the mid-season finale.
