Between last week's episode and today's, I'm glad to see Garnet getting more use out of her electrical powers.

I've suspected for a while that summoning a weapon is not an innate ability that every Gem has, but more a learned skill. Mostly from the fact that in flashbacks to the Gem Rebellion, Pearl is always using a sword instead of her spear, ie. before she was able to manifest a weapon of her own.
Honestly, I was surprised it took them that long to stumble upon the other Gems. They set off to investigate the Cluster, which they know Peridot was sneaking into the Kindergarten to check up on. Where else would they go?
Her joining in conversations via muffled yelling through the door.
Imagine him having to explain to Connie why Garnet is glaring daggers at his bathroom door.
Never forget.
Jasper : Garnet have greater parallels to Vegeta : Goku, frankly. Setting aside their different shapes, Jasper is the one obsessed with strength and glorious combat, the primary physical threat between the two, and the one who lost in a closely contested battle to a foe whose ideology she despises.
I have to admit the ending caught me by surprise. Leaving Peridot trapped in Steven's bathroom seems like the most unstable equilibrium possible. Unless someone is watching that door at all hours, Peridot's just going to scamper off at her first opportunity. Granted, the notion of this kicking off some sort of…
From Peridot's description of her mission it seems like Homeworld had no intention of trying to control it. It seems more like a fire and forget type of weapon. My guess is that they left it behind on Earth once it became clear they could not put down Rose's rebellion. They cobbled together a living superweapon…
Honestly, there's a lot of characters that ending song could apply to: Amethyst, Pearl, Lapis, Rose, even Steven himself. It's part of what makes it such a beautifully written piece of music.
Put it in "Love, Actually", and you have a deal.
Seconded on "A Walk Among the Tombstones". One of my favorites from last year.
With a cast like that you'd have to try harder to make a bad movie than you would to make a good one. I still place it on a lower tier than "The Grey" and "Walk Among the Tombstones", two gems of his action movie career phase.
Actual mathematical evidence of Sadie's age! That's why we pay you the big bucks, S Le.
Yellow Diamond's forces finally make landfall in Beach City… and challenge the Crystal Gems to a game of baseball.
Behold! (it's near the bottom of season 2).
"Tiger Philanthropist" later this season! Tiger Millionaire's long-awaited face turn!
That makes the most sense to me, just the wording of "never" made me think she won't get a future opportunity.
I'm always one to praise the VA's in this show whom are not professional voice actors, and Kate Miccuci is one of the standouts. She's been given some scenes requiring a great deal of emotional complexity and tenderness (as ever, I'm looking at you, "Lion 3"), and she delivers on all fronts.
But none of Greg's songs clock in over 6 minutes!
